Feel certain Ga Southern stays on but just wondering who is falling off. Hope we get Tx State in Boone. Go Apps!

Georgia Southern will add Ark State and ULL and drop Texas State and Idaho, according to their AD.

As for App, no one has said. I'm guessing two of group of ULL, Ark State, Idaho or ULM.

Unless they have a contract with the Sun Belt for longer than next season, I'm thinking Idaho will be gone after '15, and we play a 9 game Sun Belt Conference schedule in '16/'17. That would give Missori State and Eastern Kentucky/JMU/Liberty/Coastal time to get ready for a 12 team league going forward. If UTA and UALR start football you have a balanced 14 team league. I wish UTC would get their act together and join the Sun Belt instead of EKU/JMU, but it doesn't sound like there is any talk of that. Coastal would be good, but seems like they have a long way to go in terms of attendence/fan support. For that matter, UTC and EKU have a long way to go to prove they could support FBS football from an attendence standpoint. Most folks seem to be so anti-Liberty, but they appear to be the only team that seems ready and willing to move up at this point.

IF Idaho is dropped and the Sun Belt goes to a 9 game schedule in '16 and '17, then we might be in a little bit of a pickle. We already have 4 ooc games scheduled (both years) and we may have to buy one of them out or pay to have it rescheduled.

Both Idaho and NMSU's contracts state they will be given two years noticed if asked to leave, the earliest Idaho is out will be the 2018 season. I expect the SBC to give notice after this season that the 2017 season will be their last.
