Dang I'm Ready for some APP Football

Unread post by MDaniels84 » Thu Jul 09, 2015 11:11 pm

Well, I went to Costco today and bought two new App Black stadium seats on sale for $19.99 each. I have my own Block A's to stitch onto them. Also, just finished watching the App vs Furple 2005 semi final football game on a DVD made for me by an old buddy on the MMB years ago. Dang, our offensive line really played tough during that 05-07 stretch.
Richie Williams juked a FU linebacker out of his jock strap but got leg whipped and went down for the game. In comes Trey Elder and tosses a 40 yard td pass to a really skinny looking Dexter Jackson.
Really looking forward to making memories this season that equal or surpass our storied past.
With the recent additions to our coaching staff and the continued progress of our S&C program, the sky is the limit !
What are the rest of my brethren doing to prepare for the '15 App Football season ? :D

Our granddaughter turned two recently. Mom and dad wanted her to have an outdoor party on a day that had an 80% chance of rain. No problem! Out came the tailgate tent and all the accoutrements for partying in any weather. Tailgate testing will continue the rest of the summer.

Every night is watching some football something ... App replays, NFL network, bowl game highlights ... anything to get through the summer. Is it September yet?

ESPN2 is showing the Canadian Football League every Thursday night. There are a couple of Apps there including Mark Legree and Ed Gainey. The CFL games are keeping me going until kickoff at The Rock.

Yeah I'm about at that point for FB as well. Dusting of the High Country and traveling forecasting tools! Got to make sure they are in working order for another season!

Plenty to do! Made my hotel reservations tonight for Atlanta---Courtyard on Lennox next to Houston's Restaurant (Ribs!) and Norfolk Sheraton Waterside. And I was in Mobile this week, the Jags have city buses wrapped with their football logos. South Alabama should be a fun destination, some good restaurants within walking distance of downtown hotels, and the Biloxi Casino hotels are nearby too. I recommend the Beau Rivage. Let's get some App room blocks going!

The absolutely best restaurant in the history of the world (AND CANADA) is in Mobile. It's a hike from USA (like 15 miles). It is along the "causeway", plumb the other side of downtown Mobile from USA.

Felix's. Creole dining at its absolute best! The building looks like a shack on poles with tin roof material everywhere, until you get in the front door. Fantastic.

I have two sons. One is a Sr. at App. The other is a soph. at Gardner Webb. (He's on the GWU tennis team.) So, he does not go to App football games much anymore. However, he's going with us to Mobile to watch ASU vs. USA. (And, to go to Felix's.) It is worth the ten hour drive. I'm not kidding.

We've got five going. It's going to be a great weekend. From Greensboro we're going to Asheville Friday night where hydration begins. Then Saturday morning we'll make the trip to Clemson. I know it will be a scorcher, but my group are veterans of hot games, attending both ECU games. We'll be ready to go toe to toe with them. After the game we'll travel back to Greenville for supper, before returning to Asheville. My heart is racing just writing this post! Go App!!!

That was my one stipulation before proposing and was repeated about 5 minutes after the proposal.
