We're already doing tailgate practice. I am so excited for this season!

I can't wait to go to Boone next week to help pack season tickets!

I had a dream last night that I had already received my season ticket package and was enjoying going through all the goodies. It always reminds me of opening a stocking at Christmas time when I was a child. I am ready for some football!

We tailgate in the front yard on free weekends. Keeps the 2 year old outside and entertained. We call it Toddler Tailgating.

I am so looking forward to some App football!! I hope to become more involved in the whole process this year and meet some of the fantastic people on this board. There are a couple reasons why I have not been very active over the past several years. ;) As my username would indicate, I did indeed graduate in 84 and I'm very proud of it. I have two boys from my first marriage who are grown(No problems here). I married a very talented and beautiful woman(even if she is a 49er grad!) Anyway, we decided that we would not have a child. After two failed procedures to prevent(unknown about the failed second at the time). Just the beginning!! :D Our son was born at 23 weeks and 1 lb 8.5 oz!!(yep, you heard it right) After 4.5 months in the NICU we brought him home(Boy, what a long 4.5 months!). He is now a little over 4 years old and is a wonderful little boy, although not nearly as little as he was initially. It does not come without challenges though but we are making progress. He is our little miracle. After saying that, I hope to make it up there at least twice this year, hopefully at least one time with my boy and meet some of you fine folks. Go Apps!!!

Wish I could give you a baker's dozen rep points for that post. Very touching.

Hey 84', Try your best to make it up the mountain and let us know when you are coming. Based on your graduation year, you made it through "the football coach not to be mentioned", one year of Mack Brown and a year or so of Sparky Woods. We need all of the '84s that we can get back up on the mountain. ;)

In regard to your son, congrats ! I also have one son (rising junior in high school) and it is awesome ! Years go too fast at this stage in my parenting . Good luck with family life and our football fortunes . Look forward to meeting you some Saturday (or Thursday night) this fall.

You and yours are always welcome at our tailgate spot (#76 in the Stadium Lot). Hope to see you on the mountain this fall.

Thank you very much for the invites. I am planning on at least two trips to see a game. I would love to meet you guys and gals and will definitely plan on giving you a heads up when I/we do.

And yes, I was there during the "dark" years. And I might have one of my "older" boys with me as well. The young one might not be quite ready for the rowdy "Rock" yet!!

Hi ASU84. I'm a fellow "Class of '84" alum and I am also in my second marriage with a young son (10 years old for my son). We didn't go through the ordeal that you had to endure, but I am sure your son will be a blessing as he grows. I'm in Rock Hill, SC (work in Charlotte) and I'm at all the home games unless there is some dire emergency. I've met a few of the folks from the board and would love to meet more. Maybe we'll get a chance to meet some time!

Best of luck to your and yours! Go Apps!!!!

Greg

Sorry scatman!! I apologize for hijacking the thread. I certainly share in your enthusiasm for the upcoming football season!! Several years ago(pre John) ;) I was getting in financial shape to begin joining the yosef club and start enjoying the "full" football atmosphere at App. However things happened and I now hope to start doing that (with John) in the near future. But I thank everyone for being so hospitable and I'm looking forward to enjoying some of that atmosphere while we are waiting.

To Yosef84, thanks and he is already a blessing. ;) Has been from Day 1!!

Apologies not necessary! Where App football is concerned we're all together here. My only concern is that I may not make as many games this year as I'd planned. The almost noon start for Clempson has me in a bind as well. Guess it'll be DJ and the radio for that one.

I've been in 76 for six (?) years now. Still not quite sure how I got there ... it certainly wasn't good looks and talent! :D

Big shout out to DaphneUrquhart and family for the warm(toasty) reception and hospitality for the game, tailgate (with great "Bison" burgers!!) "Little" John, the wife and myself had a fantastic time and we shall return again, if we're invited back! We're fairly certain that we made some new friends. John loved the band and absolutely made the day of two flutists that loved his excitement and laughter!! All in all, an absolutely great day. Thanks!!
