Reminder: Single-game and road tickets on public sale today
Just thought I'd direct folks who are interested to the website.
Home games: https://tkt.xosn.com/tickets/TicketHome ... S_ID=37202
Road games: https://tkt.xosn.com/tickets/TicketHome ... S_ID=37204
Learned that Georgia State tickets are $10 and general admission! Can't beat that if you live in the area.
Of course season and mini-season plans are also still available as well.
Go get 'em!

Looking at the available seats for the ULL game isn't helping sway me that we need to expand.
Buying tickets can help drive bowl selections, let's get those tickets sold!

Two Thursday night games and Thanksgiving weekend were guarantees that we wouldn't set an attendance record this year.Saint3333 wrote:Looking at the available seats for the ULL game isn't helping sway me that we need to expand.

I would use the second mid-week/Thanksgiving game to evaluate our need for expansion.Saint3333 wrote:Looking at the available seats for the ULL game isn't helping sway me that we need to expand.

Re: Reminder: Single-game and road tickets on public sale to
My point is less than 60% of the seats available for season tickets were purchased before we opened up the single game ticket sales.
I'd like to see that number closer to 75% before we expand, so that when we expand at least 50% of the tickets are season ticket holders.

You can park for free at the Walker Golf course. It is less than a mile from the stadium.

Thanks. I also wonder where most of our fans will be parking. Would be nice to be with friendsTheMoody1 wrote:http://www.clemsontigers.com/fls/28500/ ... M_ID=28500strongwxnc wrote:. Don't know if this answers your question, but the Alumni Association is doing a tailgate party: http://www.appstatesports.com/ViewArtic ... =210249888strongwxnc wrote:Thanks. As a rough estimate, how many students typically attend games. Obviously Thanksgiving break makes a difference, so average without including Thanksgiving......give or take a couple hundred??

Nice...based on that estimate, I have us right now close to these totals:DaphneUrquhart wrote:9000 is the figure Beasley used to quote.wilsonappman wrote:As a rough estimate, how many students typically attend games. Howard - number of remaining tickets are not showing up on website
Wyoming - 19,000 + 9,000 = 28,000
Ga. Southern - 19,662 + 9,000 = 28,662
Troy - 19,380 + 9,000 = 28,380
Arkansas St - 17,993 + 9000 = 26,993
La. Laf - 17,831 + 3000 (thanksgiving ??) = 20,831
This doesn't include ANY seats that have been sold on the hill. Those numbers will only go up and with good weather I feel the walk up, game day sales could be brisk and we haven't even mentioned if we are having a successful season. I think those numbers look good for the first week of August!!

Re: Reminder: Single-game and road tickets on public sale to
Agreed, if those are accurate, those are pretty darn good. I'd actually expect a bump in student attendance for at least the first Thursday game. And I expect they'll consider doing some discount promotions for the ULL game if sales are still low as the date approaches.wilsonappman wrote:Nice...based on that estimate, I have us right now close to these totals:DaphneUrquhart wrote:9000 is the figure Beasley used to quote.wilsonappman wrote:As a rough estimate, how many students typically attend games. Now whether everyone who bought full season tickets shows up for both Thursday games is another question...
Re: Reminder: Single-game and road tickets on public sale to
that's the big question, how many people who bought tickets will actually show up. Its never the same as reported attendance, last year the official average per game was over 23,000, but I bet actual bodies in seats were less than 20,000. But, the 9000 student attending seems in the ball park, now, how many were still at the game past the third quarter.....well.

Re: Reminder: Single-game and road tickets on public sale to
Great question and I agree with your assessment. Most games seemed to be well under reported, IMO. If we can just catch a small break and have a wonderful weather day for Ga. Southern, I'm thinking we could challenge the all time attendance record. I have no doubt that the students will pack that game and well exceed the 9,000.moehler wrote:that's the big question, how many people who bought tickets will actually show up. Re: Reminder: Single-game and road tickets on public sale to
Keep in mind a large portion of our alumni are young professionals (w or w/o families) like myself and may choose to wait to purchase tickets closer to the game. Personally I have not bought season tickets as I spend many weekends traveling and usually wait until about a month out to buy my single game tickets. I usually go to about 4-5 home games a year......I would assume these numbers should go up.

Re: Reminder: Single-game and road tickets on public sale to
I hope I'm wrong, but I believe you may be deducting the number of seats available from the stadium capacity of 24,000. You should be taking the 24,000 deducting ~8,000 seats for students/band and then deducting seats available.wilsonappman wrote:Nice...based on that estimate, I have us right now close to these totals:DaphneUrquhart wrote:9000 is the figure Beasley used to quote.wilsonappman wrote:As a rough estimate, how many students typically attend games. You are correct Saint!! My bad!! Therefore those numbers are each inflated by about 8,000. The starting number should be 16,050 instead of 24,050. Still have some work to do!!Saint3333 wrote:I hope I'm wrong, but I believe you may be deducting the number of seats available from the stadium capacity of 24,000. Re: Reminder: Single-game and road tickets on public sale to
we kinda got a "chicken and the egg" thing going on here, on one hand, the numbers suggest that our stadium is the proper size for our fanbase, but on the other hand, everyone in the SBC and for that matter most mid majors, either have started increasing and improving their stadiums, or have plans to begin work in the near future, which means the recruits we want and need are probably going to playing elsewhere in one of these new and improved stadiums, which means our program will eventually start to decline, which means attendance will eventually start to decline, because we didn't add 8-10 thousand seats, that might not be filled anyway.
