Howard

Unread post by Gonzo » Tue Aug 25, 2015 11:35 am

Not Tim, Dwight, or Ron -- our first opponent of the 2015 Football Season.

I was just looking at their 2014 results. They seemed to give Rutgers all they could handle, at least at the end. It looks like they scored twice in the 4th quarter when I'm assuming the Rutgers bench was on the field. Similarly to the Neers they started cold and ended hot. They finished 3-5 in a traditionally weak FCS conference.

I don't know what to expect from them. I've been looking for game stats to see if they pass, run, or defend well.

Anyone have the scoop on the Howard Bison?

I posted this in the "some are forgetting..." thread:
Let's take a look at the Bison's 2014 Individual Offensive Stats

Passing Yards:
McGhee 2388
Cunningham 4

Rushing Yards:
McGhee 847
Parker 673
Freeman 421
Tusan 331

Receiving Yards:
Colvin 611
Aiyegoro 395
Freeman 272
Mercer 263
Parker 241

And here is what they have returning in 2015:

Passing Yards:
Cunningham 4

Rushing Yards:
Parker 673
Tusan 331

Receiving Yards:
Colvin 611
Mercer 263
Parker 241

Don't feel like digging for O-Line starts and Defensive Stats, but you get the picture. They lose a LOT of offense. Yes, they gave Rutgers a decent game, but they lost to Akron 41-0.

Meanwhile, we have the most returning starters in the nation (20). This is not Liberty, and we are not the same team that played Liberty. 52-13 Apps.

By the way, opening line on this game was App -31 (now moved to App -32)

That's what we're having ... if the bison coordinator gets the meat.
If serving is beneath you, then leading is beyond you.

been looking on the internet the last 3 days and I cant find anything about them, no message board, predictions, anything. The only thing I found was a couple of months ago in a sports publication, one small paragraph, basically predicted them to finish in the bottom half of the MEAC. They lost their best player, the qb, to graduation, and also their best running back. That's all I could find.
