Noticed that Bobo move ahead of Sumler for Kick off returns.
Curious to see when/if Sumler has a breakout game of any kind.

Re: Sumler
He will. He just needs time to learn the playbook and all the other stuff that they learn. They are moving him slowly, but when he comes out...he is going to be nasty. Trust me, give him time.

Re: Sumler
I've been wondering the same thing. We have true freshmen and redshirt freshmen playing a lot of reps. He also came from a similar offense.
As far kick off returns go, it takes a certain kind of player to do that, not just a fast one. Devin Hester is a great returner, but a less than average receiver.

A+...Point on about it takes a certain kind of player to do that. Sumler isn't a kick/punt returner, but a receiver. Hasn't returned kicks until he go to ASU. Later in the year and next for sure our "O" will be something awesome. Do you key on Price and that will leave Sumler open for the Dexter Jackson type catches and runs, or do you key on Sumler and leave Price open? They you have Peacock, Washington and Jones too. Talk about weapons we have.....holy crap....All of that will be true if we get our running game going...then we can't be stopped....40+ points a game....It's going to be fun...JohnnyBurrito wrote:I've been wondering the same thing. Re: Sumler
I thought I saw Sumler in jersey and sweats on the sideline during the first half, but he came out and played receiver and did some kick returning in the second half. Was he on some kind of suspension or were my failing eyes playing tricks on me?

Re: Sumler
We have got two 6's on the roster. Blackmon is the other and wears the jersey although headed for redshirt. Sumler was dressed for the full game. FBS schools have a lot of duplicates, but we have more than usual this year. Chisholm and Hall in 8 are the most visible from playing time. Just can't put both on the field at the same time for special teams, etc. or it is a penalty.
