First Big Injury Loss
Time for Williams and Ford, among others, to step up.

Yes they were. He had come on in spring and just continued to get better until he was injured. We've got several CB's who can step up if they can stay healthy themselves. Mondo and Jordan Ford are two.

OUUUCH. That one hurts.
I think Mondo starts now, but I'm not sure we have much reliable depth after that. Krah would be the other guy (besides Ford) who might see more time as a result.

Re: First Big Injury Loss
We have some DB's with size: Ford, Garnett, Gray or Exford with Krah bringing the most experience.

Williams will likely move to #1 with Krah and Ford being the top backups. Also assume this means Tae Hayes will be on the travel squad now as he was already making a push for it anyway.moonshine wrote:We have some DB's with size: Ford, Garnett, Gray or Exford with Krah bringing the most experience.
Gray and Exford are safeties with Exford still working to come back from an injury during the spring.

Good to hear about Hayes. Seems these Alabama kids might be a couple diamonds in the rough.JTApps1 wrote:Williams will likely move to #1 with Krah and Ford being the top backups. tough loss, hate to hear it for the young man, but if there is an upside, it happened at a position were pretty deep at, time for someone to step up.

Re: First Big Injury Loss
Second loss. Speedy Fr. ATH/QB Jake Easter will miss the season with a torn ACL that he suffered in the Saturday scrimmage. He'll have surgery later this week. Wish him well and hope he recovers 100%.
On the positive injury front, reports are DB Austin Exford is back on the field in the limited contact jersey. Hopefully he's on his way back to 100%.
