Interesting tidbit about mixing in some 4-3. Hopefully that indicates they're feeling good about DT depth.

To me, slow starts in games are as much of a concern as a slow start to the season. We obviously got off to some terrible starts in the first half of last season, but even in the winning streak we dug ourselves a few holes. We got down two TDs to both A-State and ULM in the first half, and even against Idaho it took us a while to get going. You can only do that so many times before it bites you.

I'm glad to read that SS & staff have the players attention focused squarely on themselves and week 1. If they do that then the Howard game will take care of itself and this time next week we will be trying to insert the right game plan (and some magic) to take down to to Clemson. Thus, we'll be right on schedule for a successful 2015 campaign.

Hopefully this reassures some on this board that our coaches and players are totally focused on Howard. I know we talk a lot about other games and the season but hopefully our team focuses on the next challenge in front of them.

As I have said numerous times in various threads, what I want to see this week is EVERY player that hits the field flying around like a pack of rabid dogs. I want to see the high energy and mistake free football from the 1's, 2's and 3's.

after the awful starts the last two years, you know the coaches and the players have been hearing about it all summer long. There is absolutely no excuse for this to be a competitive game late in the third, if this game isn't over by halftime, SS is going to have a lot of explaining to do.

When Satt was asked on Mountaineer Talk about it being the Michiganniversary, he said he didn't realize it cause he was focused on Howard. That's good.
