Michigan vs Appalachian DVD
Does anyone know where one could obtain a DVD of our Michigan win?

I might have a working copy. But I think I have a coy off the internet that I got from a torrent site some years ago. You might want to look there though hard to know if anyone would be seeding that 8 years later.NewApp wrote:Does anyone know where one could obtain a DVD of our Michigan win?

Surely copies are available from GoAppState or from the Bookstore. I'd be a buyer if they exist. I've had that on my to do list, but...alas...McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:I might have a working copy. I doubt we have rights to sell them. Big Ten Network (a Fox affiliate maybe) would own rights. We might be able to sell game film, but I doubt schools do that.asu66 wrote:Surely copies are available from GoAppState or from the Bookstore. I'd be a buyer if they exist. I do think the audio feed may still be on our website if you sort by date and dig around a bit.
I did find a link to the 2014 game on a UM fan site. It was mentioned that one poster on their board had games back to 2007, but had to pull them over copyright. If none has a better answer maybe I can do something that is within legal limits and get a copy to those that would like a copy.

Re: Michigan vs Appalachian DVD
How many times have I seen this ending? I thought I would watch a bit of the game and the last drive. I am sitting here with sweaty palms and a knot in my stomach.
8 years later and still exciting.

Re: Michigan vs Appalachian DVD
What was really interesting was the field goal to take the lead back. The resolution is 360p. On a 21 in full screen a bit pixelated. I lose sight of the football after the kick and honest to goodness I though he missed. My heart sank and my stomach jumped. Then I saw the jumping around. It is like watching a Greek drama-at this point I know the ending, but for a fraction of a second I thought we did not have victory this time. Then I got to relive the excitement of the 2nd blocked FG attempt.
Funny how my eyes and head were playing games with me for a small slice of time.
Spoiler alert: App won again.

Thanks, Lurking. The youtube link worked for me. Now, I have another question. Is there a way I can copy this game on DVD from youtube?NoLongerLurking wrote:The complete game is on youtube if you're interested in streaming it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ec9POE2eQdI

Re: Michigan vs Appalachian DVD
There are ways of downloading youtube videos. To get it to work on a DVD you would need to convert the file into something a DVD can use. It can be done but you need some software beyond what normally comes with a computer, but it can be found on the internet for free (or pay a good bit to pay for non-free software.) Google youtube online download and I bet you get hit with more than a few choices. There are also some Chrome and Firefox extensions that can download media but in the case of Chrome (owned by Google) they can't download from Youtube (owned by Google).NewApp wrote:Thanks, Lurking. You might want to Google "Download and make a DVD from Youtube" and see what comes up.
If you are still looking by this weekend send me a PM and I'll see what I can find when I have a bit more time to help.

Re: Michigan vs Appalachian DVD
Thanks, but I'm too computer illiterate to bother with additional software, etc. It's not that important as all I wanted it for was to show my 10 year old the game.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:There are ways of downloading youtube videos. He certainly will this weekend when he views it on YouTube. It's just better for all concerned on a wide screen TV.NoLongerLurking wrote:I hope your 10 year old enjoyed it.

Re: Michigan vs Appalachian DVD
Thanks for the advice, McL but I was hoping there was a less cumbersome method. Just once again displays my computer illiteracy.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:There are ways of downloading youtube videos.
