Tickets reduced
I paid $37 a ticket for reserved seats for the Homecoming game with Wyoming. Now they are selling them four for $99. They must not have expected large enough a crowd. I could have waited and had extra room for our party of three.

Re: Tickets reduced
It's called using a promotion to try and fill empty seats. I, for one, applaud our athletic department for getting proactive in this area. I purchased my season tickets at a certain price as well but I have zero problem with this approach. As you said, you could have waited but you would have done so without knowledge that any said promotion would have even been offered. I'm not willing to take that chance. Hope people take advantage of this opportunity and we pack The Rock for Homecoming 2015. Go Apps!!

Good points. I guess I'm getting a bit chintzy in my old age.wilsonappman wrote:It's called using a promotion to try and fill empty seats. Re: Tickets reduced
It's a fine line. You want to fill seats, but you don't want to train fans to expect discounts. That's three home games in a row that we've offered them. And as Wyoming appeared to be the top seller on the home schedule so far before this sale, I expect we might see more discounts offered for the remaining games this year.

Re: Tickets reduced
There are a little less than 1,700 seats left so it's not like we are in dire need of ticket sales. It's a good way to generate some last minute sales to fill the stadium. Buying season tickets gets you a discount as well so no issue with it at all.

I'm fine with the discounts, but the constant plugs on every bit of media are grating. You can only use "limited tickets are left" so many times.

I think we're still in the "reigniting the flame" phase. As the winning continues and the attendance climbs, the discounts will become less common.
