The Riceman To Serve As KBS PA Announcer Remainder Of Season
Congrats to our very own, Doug Rice, aka the Riceman, on his appointment as PA announcer at KBS for the remainder of the 2015 season. Not sure of all the details but I for one am pumped about having Doug behind the mic. He'll do a great job!

That's awesome to hear. Doug hosted my group from the Kellar Radio Institute at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2007. He walked us through the entire broadcast setup for NASCAR race day, showed us the inside of the production truck. Really great experience.

Doug really does it all...and with class! Can't wait to hear him upstairs on the mic in about 9 days time!

What is the story with the current PA guy? Did a solid job imo.
Filled the massive shoes of Bill Fisher quite well. I used to go into that Exxon station at the corner of 105/321 and Bill would ALWAYS be in there killing a Subway sandwich or two.

Never was a fan of Fishers style. I'm extremely excited to have Doug Rice on the mic though!

Glad to see Doug on board. He was born a Mountaineer!

Steve White was doing the PA work as well as heading up the ticket office. Don't know the story behind his departure and wouldn't dare to make any guesses regarding same.IGgreer wrote:What is the story with the current PA guy? Did a solid job imo.

If serving is beneath you, then leading is beyond you.

I have one question, will we hear more of The Appalachian State Band of Distinction ?
