15 in 15

Was anyone else a 15 in 15 winner?

Back when I purchased my season tickets a contest was going on called 15 winners in 15 days. Some days later we received a voice message advising me that I was one of the winners. Our name was even posted on the web site as one of the winners. I returned the call from Shae Wesley several times had to leave messages. Finally spoke with her and I think it was Ashley Payne she was giving my info to & would return my call. I thought she meant Ashley would return the call soon. You know the next day or the next couple of days. Nah. So I called again left messages and have e-mailed both Shae and Ashley with no response from either. So I'm wondering what experience others have had with this. Oh yeah..I won honorary coach for a day, could have been pretty cool.

I won. Spoke with both of them. I picked the sideline passes for the Georgia Southern game. Well, I thought sideline passes would be "sideline" passes for the entire game. It's only sideline during warm ups. When they kick off, I have to leave and go to my seats. IMO, not much of a prize.

Below is the email I received. Email or call Karen Katibah.

Good afternoon!

We have you confirmed for pregame sideline passes on Thurs. October 22nd vs. Georgia Southern at 7:30pm. Just a reminder, these passes are only for pregame sideline access, due to new constraints of a limited number of full game sideline passes. We will be happy to meet you right inside the ticket plaza gate an hour and a half before kick-off at 6pm so you can enjoy the pregame sideline experience during the team warm-ups. After kick-off, one of our staff members can escort you to your seat to enjoy the rest of the game.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks so much for your continued support of Appalachian State Athletics!

Not much of a prize. I'll give her a call though.

Thank you.

I did finally find the winners' names one day when I was wondering if they ever actually awarded the 15 in 15 prizes. It seemed at the time that what could have been a nice promo had flopped pretty badly. I'm disappointed to know that my perception was fairly accurate.
If serving is beneath you, then leading is beyond you.

Same, exact scenario for me. I won sideline passes, chose Georgia Southern, got the same email.

A bogus, misleading "promotion" in my opinion that damages the resolve of even the most ardent fan. As a result, I will question any future promotions.

They did ask for my mailing address so I assume the "prize" will be mailed. I have decided that, when I get my "prize package" in the mail, I am going to return it with a letter expressing my personal feelings and ask them to discontinue such deceptive marketing, or more appropriately called, "marketeering".

Appalachian sports is better then this.

The end. Frustration expressed, ready to go to ODU.

I'm thinking about giving mine to someone else. This "deceptive marketing" will mess up my tailgate time. I would much rather spend time with friends that stand on the sidelines and just look.

Same here. I won & chose the Wyoming game. I thought the sideline pass was going to be throughout the game. That's why I chose Wyoming.

Back in 2004, my wife, me, and two sons, ages 11 & 9, flew out West, rented a car & drove to Laramie. At the Fan Fest that year, Coach Moore learned that game day was younger son's birthday. So, he gave him a sideline pass for the game. When we got to the game, younger son offered to share with older brother (pretty cool, that). So, both boys got to hang out on the sidelines for the game.

And, that is why I chose the Wyoming game. And, later found out it was just pre-game. Like you, I would rather tailgate.
