For those headed ODU way... take some rain gear, it might be needed. Trend is for cloudy to mostly cloudy skies with the chance for rain, at times, and breezy. Mid 70s.

Noon: 73 - M.Cloudy, breezy chance for rain

Kickoff: 74 - M.Cloudy to cloudy, breezy, chance for rain

End of game: 74 - M.Cloudy to cloudy sky, breezy and continued chance for rain.

Thanks for providing the away updates as well for those of traveling to support the Black & Gold. We're heading up on Friday afternoon a long weekend in the Tidewater and some of the early reports I've seen from those "big boy" weather services has me a bit spooked, especially since we have quite a few outdoor activities planned, not only Saturday but Sunday and Monday as well. A few of the local stations in the Hampton Roads seem a bit more optimistic. I know things will change a bit but please keep us updated as the week progresses...and thanks again for all your WX work!

Will do HKY... Yeah don't trust the national folks, go local those are the best. While not my turf, I'll keep it close! I'll update Wed and again on Thursday... Wouldn't suggest it will be a washout by any means, but yeah, with the pattern and the pesky cutoff low, rain will be around.

**WED EVENING UPDATE**

Oh yeah, take the rain gear. Expect to get wet. If some breaks show up along the way, so be it. But right now, it looks pretty soggy. The exact track, or rather how far South the coastal low meanders, will dictate how much rain falls in the tidewater region. Right now, that's a bit of the unknown. Breezy, cloudy, soggy.... shaping up to be a pretty crappy day for football. I'm hoping that will change some.

No major changes in forecast thinking. Rain likely for parts of the game. Rain gear needed!

How is the remainder of the weekend looking, past the game? Saturday evening, Sunday, and into Monday? Will the game be the worst of it as the low pulls away?

The chance for rain will be ongoing through Monday, at least. Not constant, but periods rain appear likely as that system finally tracks N/NE and out. Decreasing potential Sunday AM into Monday... so both of those will be better than Saturday. You'll have to make the best of it.... Safe travels!

Will not be able to make the game this time. I will be watching the game from the confines of home but my wife will be here along with my brother and his wife. My brother did not go to App but his daughter did and his wife is a big Michigan fan!! Will be a fun afternoon! Go Mountaineers!!!

ASUMountaineer, I would like nothing better than to join you, WXAPP, and other fanatical ASU fans in a sports bar setting, watching the game, raising cane and integrating with other grads. However, I am in Lexington, NC and have a 4 year old son who is interested in a lot of things, but football and allowing Dad to watch are not two of his favorites. We will be cheering nontheless.
