THE EARLY GANDER... WX TREND 4 Homecoming
A more extensive posting on this tomorrow.
Things could start out with early rain, then give way to gradually clearing skies by Saturday mid afternoon. Models went from sunshine, (yesterday) to rain, (this morning), and as of this post, they are now splitting the difference. So, in the weather world deciphered by humans, no clear trend as of yet. But, I'm hopeful we see things lean towards the drier side of life. We'll lock the forecast down by Thursday.
I don't want folks making decisions about showing up, or not, based the the fluctuation of the useless cell phone "crap apps" and the automated online weather sites. Bottom line, not enough information for a solid forecast at this point.
Either way, I'm expecting to see your butt in the seats! I'll be there!

There is no bad weather for football ... some weather is better than others, but it's always the right weather to be at The Rock cheering for the Mountaineers! See y'all Saturday!

Re: THE EARLY GANDER... WX TREND 4 Homecoming
After watching the forecast for Sept 5th game calling for 60% chance of rain at game time and rain throughout the game only to have a beautiful day with the fans being sunburned and me not being there, I will never pay attention to the weather in Boone before game day again. I will pack for sun, rain and later in the season, snow, all in the same day. Hey, it's Boone, if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes...it will change!

I always attend games I've already purchased, even in the days of the Boone Monsoons. I just want the field and football to be such that conditions don't help equalize the performances.WXAPP wrote:A more extensive posting on this tomorrow.
