Screw the track, screw more seating. We have to have a new sound system. This one is embarrassing! I hate the thought of bringing a visitor to hear this one. I think our new MMB fund raiser should go towards a new sound system.

Right behind that, get rid of Molly Cotton..... She gets worse and worse each week.... I cringe when she starts talking.

Is Molly Cotton an App grad or a grad student using this as an internship? She had been around a few years it seems so I am guessing not a student at any level.
Maybe give Kelsey a shot at it or is she involved in other parts of the production that helps with her producing Rise.

I agree with the sound system, but the attendance was terrible. I got it the weather was bad, but turn on your TV, the ND @ Clemson game in the same conditions is packed out.
WEAK WEAK WEAK on our behalf.

I'd say let NC's Band of Distinction play instead of the sorry mess they play on a sorry sound system.

It's not about music vs the Band. It's distorted and you can't understand the intros or Sean Connery or the announcer.

The sound system is horrible! My season tickets are on that end of the field and half the time you can't even hear it and the other half it is too loud and distorted.....don't we have anyone who knows how to run a sound board?

Molly Cotton is a recent App grad who works for ESPN 730 out of Charlotte and Appalachian IMG Sports Network.

Two seasons later and they haven't figured out that they can't play Imagine Dragon's Radioactive without it sounding like a high schooler attempting to drop bass in his car by turning the stereo dial all the way up.

The sound system needs a complete professional overhaul.

The sound system makes us look like some hillbillies hooked it up in our free time. Too easy to hire a sound company to put something in there that works the way a FBS level stadium should.
As for Molly Cotton here she is

Hopefully she is single too.

Molly does a better job on the WBB, VB, Softball games I think. She is a recent grad.
She does a lot of Boone-CLT driving it would seem.

when I'm in the stadium during the week and they are practicing, they pipe in music then...and it sounds fine...send a couple of people into the stands and listen from all areas and make notes...volume should be at this for this song and at that for that song...youd think it shouldn't be that hard...but maybe it is...and I'm a novice...but if its YOUR JOB....GET IT RIGHT...NOW!

I would add to that if you have to play that sorry mess put someone on it who knows at least a little about football. You don't blast that crap when our offense is trying to get set.
Best thing is let our band take care of the music. They also know football.

Something's "broke" in that sound system. And quit the rap music.
I have always preferred the band.

I sort of thought this was the case. My theory is that it is something that is hooked up only for games is ruining everything. They have probably checked it out a bunch of times during practice and it sounds fine. But, SOMETHING is getting plugged in for games that is too many ohms or provides too much resistance or SOMETHING!
Can we not hire a professional to fix the damn thing? Right now, it sucks. If it cannot be fixed, just turn it off. If the current group cannot figure it out, call Pro-Connect in Lenoir. They'll fix it. Do I need to send their phone number?

If the piped-in music on Saturday was rap music, then I don't know what rap music is anymore. Sounded like hip hop and modern pop.
The sound system is obviously a big-enough deal for people. Here's phone numbers and e-mails, all public info. Make your voices heard. Gillin is all about minor tweaks to make things better. We have 17 days til a nationally-televised game vs our most hated rival. It's the biggest showcase game at Appalachian State University since Halloween 2008.
