I said it in another thread that no matter how strong we finish, and I hope we do leave a trail like Sherman through Georgia, when you compare our resumes to several of these top G5 teams with quality P5 wins, it is hard for us to prove we are "better" than them without head to head games.

Our schedule is our schedule so all we can do is win and win as big as possible.

Gonna be fun!!!

Agreed ATL. That's why I think it was really important to get those three nonconference wins. In the absence of any real signature wins, the way for us to start getting noticed outside the Sun Belt is to have a great overall record. As long as the Sun Belt keeps having champions who are 8-4, it will never get any respect.

I can't disagree that our resume doesn't support a claim to be as good or better than some of those other top G5 programs, but all we can do is play our schedule. ODU and Wyoming deflated our SOS with their current struggles, but I am very happy with where we are. Two years ago, NOBODY had realistic expectations of success this early. We HOPED but knew it was a long shot. I just hope the dream continues. A bowl win this year would be an unbelievabe accomplihment!
