Anybody with a parking pass available for 10/22 against Georgia Southern? This will be the first game I've been able to make it to since graduating in 13' and I'm bringing 5 folks from out of state for their first experience at The Rock. Would love to have parking figured out ahead of time instead of having to hunt for it on a Thursday evening.

this day is gonna be real interesting as a student. no classes have been cancelled they're still on, but many professors have no idea where they are going to park because obviously most of them live a few minutes away from campus and drive every day. i mean i've already decided i won't be attending my 3:30 class that day

, but I want to see how all this turns out.

I assume the gravel lot beside southern states and to the left of cafe protofino will be open. $20 a car.
Corner of water and rivers.

Glad you're coming "home". I'll definitely be using my parking pass, so I can't help from that point.
http://chancellor.appstate.edu/messages/id/71 is the link to the chancellor's message on how parking is supposed to work. It will be interesting to see how things turn out. Plan on being patient.

Best bet for parking is the Watauga County Human Services facility on north King Street. FREE and a shuttle runs to near the stadium. It may nit open before 5 since this is a Thursday game, but its a great place to park and tailgating is allowed.

You sure? We tailgated there for years for free, but at the Howard game that was a permit only lot.

^ I was wondering that. Been a while since in have parked at this place. It is not listed anywhere saying you need a permit though...

I parked in that lot for Howard without a permit. To the best of my knowledge nobody in that lot had a permit.

I can tell you that there were no permits for that lot in our ticket packing extravaganza. That is not a Yosef lot. Now, I can't speak to whether or not there's a county permit of some sort required during the week ...

All parking lots open at 3:30, and as the game approaches I am sure more professors will see the value of the game and cancel classes after this weekend.

I hate to admit it, but football games are the sole reason I buy Rivers Street Deck instead of Stadium Lot parking as a student.
