Why throw 40 yards when you need 6? Time and time again

After watching the 1st quarter I was thinking this could be a close game. Boy was I wrong. Good to see Marcus back over 100 yards again!

So, I missed most of the game. What happened to John law? Also, I wonder how Chapman and H. Nunn are?

Law, I think we held out after being banged up. Randy Jackson's sideline report indicated he was good to go after being checked out on the sideline. Sounded like his leg/ankle.

Satterfield said after the game he'll take some over-throws if the other deep balls go for touchdowns.

Same thing happened at GA State. I have no complaint as it showed me two things. He can throw the deep ball and will only get better with touch and the receivers are getting open.

The announcers have talked about this in a couple of games. I'm not sure if it's Lamb's decision or if he is being coached to throw long in order to prevent teams from consistently stacking the box (like Wyoming was doing). In the Wyoming game, the rain was hurting our long throws but I think we'll consistently make a few of these and I'll wager than after the GSU game and this one, opponents will think twice before putting 8 in the box too often.

Nothing wrong with play calling.... Decision making not sure what was the progression for Taylor on those plays... But a long ball on 3rd and 6 to a covered receiver doesn't seem to a good choice. Having said that...Taylor made very few poor reads Sarurday.
