no inside knowledge - just a guess - we were trying to end the game and Elon kept calling TOs even though they had no hope of winning the game - a little "well OK then, take this" ---

I don't know about the rest of you, but I was thrilled to see Sam line up for a 61 yard fg. That would have been special! It was kind of out of the norm.

So, as an "Eff you", we threw a TD pass to run it up on them. Basically the same thought process was at work here. I personally wish we threw a pass to the endzone. It's no less than they deserve.

To be fair, the SCSU coach admitted his folly after the game.

I don't remember the time outs at the end of the Wofford Halloween game, but I do remember this situation at the end of the SCSU playoff game. Coach Pugh started calling time-outs to stop the clock and they turned Armanti loose with another TD throw. Even coach Pugh said "yeah, we deserved it" in an interview after the game.
