App opened as a 23.5 point favorite. The over/under is 51.5.

This game might be pairing the conference's best defenses. I think taking the under is a safe bet. Might parlay this one.

ya, considering Troy is playing pretty well right now, especially on defense, hard to see us beating them by more than 24.

I agree with both of you. I think the under is the play in this game. I can see a 31-10 game. (NOT a prediction). Curious Gonzo, what would you parlay with it?

Marshall is only a 19-point favorite over UNCC on the road. Opened at -20. I'd go with that one. O/U is 50.5.

Utah State is -28 over Wyoming. Boise only beat Wyoming by 20 and even though USU beat the mess out of Boise, that was because Boise had NINE turnovers. Plus USU got blown out by San Diego State last weekend. O/U is 50.

I can't bring myself to ever wager on an App game.

Interesting how Vegas analyst feel about this game.

May be time for Satt & Co to start looking at style points.

Interesting is that I also saw numerous folks on Sun Belt board projecting Troy to put up 21 or more points on our defense. I would think our defense would take that as a personal insult.

It seems that every week we play another team that is "Possibly the best in the Sun Belt." I think Troy is on the upswing and might be dangerous, but a focused App team will not struggle against the Trojans.

I would think that at this point our defense is really goal driven, like not wanting to allow anything! I'm sure we won't shut out the remaining 5 teams but if any of them sniff 21 points I will be stunned. Back to back games letting the opponent take the first drive right down the field and score was surprising. The awesome thing is that our coaches made adjustments and we ultimately smoked both ULM and GSU. Let's see a spanking. The only way Troy keeps it close is if we get into a number of 3rd and 6 situations and we try to convert long passes instead of extending drives with conservative short passes.

Agree. They are "possibly the best whatever" before we play them, and after we stomp a mud hole in them and walk it dry, we "haven't played anybody." Go figure.

If all goes as well, we should cover the spread....but I don't care what anyone here or in Vegas says, Troy is a dangerous team. I will never forget that Liberty game or the A&T game; they are both seared into my brain.

I for one don't see the over being the play. Our defense is too good and if we can run the ball then we will control the clock. I didn't see where Troy fans think that they will score 21 points. I was too busy reading where people don't think that we can score in the 30's on them. To me that's laughable.

I don't believe that gaining "style points" is going to help us out in the polls. If we win by 50 we were supposed to and if we win a close one then we were off. Double edged sword.

Our average score against G5 schools is 41-9. Troy isn't just losing to P5 schools, they're losing to other Sub .500 Sun Belt schools as well. That's a lot of points but there's lots to point to us covering.

It's probably a good thing the team has had enough time to get past the mighty effort against The Gumroots, and can focus on Troy won't have a let down game. This team can be the class of the SoCon this year, look for a focused team to win against Troy.

Thanks, LOL!

The SoCon seemed tougher each week than the SunBelt has, maybe that was the reason for my brain fart.
