My beefs:

- Memphis drops two spots because of "slow starts" after beating Tulane by 28? OK. No way they're behind Toledo right now. (Who, by the way, is one week removed from falling behind by 18 to UMass, if slow starts are suddenly an important thing.)

- Boise moves up SEVEN spots to #5 because... why exactly?

- "As we saw last season, a two-loss Mountain West champion will be perceived in a higher light than a one-loss champion from most other mid-major conferences." First of all, "most other" = CUSA in that case. Secondly, that was last season, when the MWC was arguably the best G5 league. That league is way down this year.

- San Diego State ahead of Navy is hard to figure. Perhaps that also owes to the author not realizing the Mountain West isn't that good this year.

Otherwise, looks reasonable to me.

East, I think Boise was given a rocket ride back up charts on rep points IMO.

Agreed.

For those who don't know, the official CFP top 25 debuts tomorrow night. Certainly I would expect Memphis, Houston, Toledo, and hopefully Temple to be in there. Any other G5 teams would be a surprise.

I don't think they do an "also receiving votes" for that one, though I'm not positive.
