Re: "state side"
It's the third home game in a row on a Thursday night. What did you expect? Be grateful for those who did show up and stop shaming those who couldn't make it to Boone for the third week in a row.

I never said I wasn't grateful. The Apps that are here are loud. I'm just saying why talk about expansion if we can't fill it up for a huge game in conference.

Then say that! Don't say, "What more do you need to show up?" Some people hold full time jobs that keep them from being able to show up to every home game. Give them some slack and take pride in the fact that we have fans who are dedicated enough to make three trips to Boone within three weeks.RollNeers wrote:I never said I wasn't grateful. Its actually a nice crowd here. Much more than I anticipated. If you took folks on hill and put in east stands, it would be full except for Ark St sections.
Well Done Apps!!

I don't know why so many of you here defend it. It looks bad on tv. People still keep leaving at halftime. It doesn't mean the whole program or football team is bad. But you sympathizers continue to compliment the emperor on his new clothes and I can't figure out why...

Only those a tad delusional believe we should expand. Have shown no need. Attendance is what it is and I see the 07-10 years as pretty much our peak attendance wise. We can hit that peak again and possibly sustain but I don't see us surpassing. Too many logistics against us.

Re: "state side"
3 weeks in a row is too much. Esp with 2 of those being Thursday nights. Games are social events to some as well and it's hurts not to have them spread out. No reasons to blame the students or the general fan base. App just does not have enough people to generate consistent overflow of KBS right now, for more reasons than losing tonight.
Expanding for the sake of filling it for one game (Miami) is short sighted and will look horrible when App starts playing those Tuesday night Sun Belt games in front of 7,500

Re: "state side"
For those of us with kid's in sports, band, cheerleading, etc, Thursday nights are difficult to impossible. Plus we have work at 8am the next day. We can do it for 1 (we chose GaSo), but two is just not in the cards.

Re: "state side"
I thought the crowd was pretty good for both Thursday games. More showed up than I expected and far more than showed up for other Belt Thursday night locations. Pretty loud too, you could hear the BS chant pretty clear on TV. Not good even if the calls were bad.

Re: "state side"
What was more disgraceful than any of the Thursday stuff, was the mass exodus last Saturday. The game is tied, going into OT, and about a 1/4 of the students begin to leave. Amazing!

Re: "state side"
I don't want to hear complaints about the state side. I went to sit there for the first time instead of my 205 seats and the App side wasn't much better. We are going to have face the fact that for now any weekday game attendance will be iffy and if weather is crap those that live 2 hrs away will not come. The students hung in there better than everyone until it was obvious the game was done. I left with 2 minutes and AState with the ball. Watch most weekday games and you will see the same.
