APP STATE / IDAHO WX Trend...

Unread post by WXAPP » Tue Nov 10, 2015 1:18 pm

For those, intrepid few, making the journey to Northern Idaho this weekend, pack the warm gear and the rain gear. WX trends have it cloudy, mid 40s with rain on and off during the game outside. Thankfully they play in the Kibbie Center (fascinating facility). So, look for upper 60s and dry.

Someone send the Sun Belt folks a map, can't say that I'd consider Idaho in the "Sun Belt".. per say... good potatoes... but those don't need much sun to grow... pass the butter and sour cream please...

:-)

Thanks for the update! I'll be there.

How will the weather be in western Washington? Will I have any snow to contend with coming from Portland? I'll dodge the mountain passes by going through the Columbia River Gorge and then up through Kennewick but still unsure about the palouse topography, geography, and meteorology.

One of my favorite drives is through the Columbia River Gorge. Just a gorgeous place.

Brocktune90 I'd ask that you pay attention to your mets out west. I'll admit, that region is not my bailiwick and requires a certain finesse I have not had to develop here in the east. As in all things mountainous, elevation key, but I am just unfamiliar with how things fully behave on the localized geographic level out that way.

I wonder about depth perception kicking to the goal posts attached to the wall like a basketball goal. Hope it doesn't come down to a FG on that end (are both ends the same?).

It may, but isn't the kicker looking down at the ball, instead of at the goal?

He should be looking at ball, I was thinking more of lining up the kick when they aren't used to something that close behind the posts.

Good point.

One of the things that makes me laugh is when fans jump around and wave their arms in the end zone on kicks like Henrik Rodl is taking a foul shot at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
