Just my opinion:
If App and GS hold serve.
NO - Ark St.
Go Daddy - App
Camellia - GS
Cure 5-7 P5
App loses to USA
NO - Ark St.
Go Daddy - GS
Camellia - USA
Cure - App
GS loses to GA St.
NO - Ark St
Go Daddy - App
Camellia - GS
Cure - GA St.
Both lose
Same as if GS loses to GA St scenario.

Definitely looks like we're headed to Alabama. If we win again Saturday it would make sense historically for us to be in Mobile, but apparently the GoDaddy had reps in Statesboro today. Whatever that means, they could have reps in Boone too. I really don't think there is gonna be a big difference. It's extremely likely we're gonna be playing in Alabama against a team from the MAC.

Note that with this weekend's results, it's likely the Cure Bowl opponent will be either 6-6 UConn or 6-6 Tulsa.

6-6 ECU would have been awesome for obvious reasons. But nah I'm passing on those two. Give me one of the best teams from the MAC.

I actually would not have been that high on a possibly 10-2 App team playing a 6-6 ECU. If we won, it would just be "you caught us in a down year," and if we lost, it would be "your best team couldn't beat our worst team."
Playing UConn or Tulsa would be similarly low-upside, but also without the selling point of the in-state opponent or any real brand name value in the opponent.

I think it was the Go Daddy and Cure reps that were in Boone for the GS game.

I still say there are a lot of behind the scenes maneuvers going on with bowls we might attend, this includes what will best project the Sun Belt and, in our case, a great 1st bowl experience. I believe Ark. St. going to the New Orleans Bowl is set. Anything is possible on the rest including a Georgia State upset of Georgia Southern--giving the Sun Belt 4 bowl eligible teams.

Anything but GoDaddy, cant swing 3 days off from work in the middle of the week.

I'll make another guess/observation: Georgia Southern is doing the same type of bowl presale that App is. I would guess that if either school has sold significantly more for Mobile, then GoDaddy will take that team regardless of what happens in the final week. (Assuming New Orleans takes A-State, of course.)

East hall is right it's all about ticket sales, but I doubt the difference is large enough to sway them. Either way we're headed to AL unless GS or App loses. The 19th works better for most, but I hate the idea that a bowl would pick GS over us the year we beat them handily.

Not gonna make the GoDaddy. 8:00pm on the 23rd is a horrible time for a game. C

We are getting a glimmer of hope from ESPN's latest bowl projections. Schlabach predicts we end up in the New Orleans Bowl against Southern Miss and McMurphy has us playing in the Camelia Bowl against Western Michigan. NO mention of December 23rd Go Daddy bowl !

Schlabach also has South Alabama going to the Camellia

I've seen is posted, I believe on the CBS Board (or, whatever it's called), that we will have either Bowling Green or Northern Illinois at the GoDaddy Bowl.

Either he pays no attention to the standings or honestly believes that SA knocks us off- or that they get a bid at 5-7.

GoDaddy takes the MAC champion, and those are the two teams in the title game, so they've got that side of the equation right at least.

If memory serves me correct, GoDaddy takes MAC #1 against Sun Belt #2. By the way, isn't that game (MAC Championship) this Friday night?

Just checked, Bowling Green and Northern Illinois play for the MAC Championship this Friday on ESPN2 at 8 PM. If we take care of business this Saturday, the winner of this game (Friday night) will more than likely be our Bowl game opponent.

Are you certain of this? The MAC champion might in the Baco Raton Bowl
