Current Pro Prospects
A lot has been said this year about Ronald Blair's pro potential. I read on a CBS draft list that Blair is currently about the #12 rated DE (not too shabby). I heard on a recent broadcast that Davante Harris is also considered a prospect although his name isn't listed at all on that site. He has looked ok to me this year but as far as a pro prospect? Thoughts? As far as I can tell we really don't have anybody else except for Matics. That is not a bad thing since a majority of our key guys will be back again next season.

Malachi seems like he should have a shot at least as a free agent. Good size, plays hard, pretty good football iq, and has done really well on special teams. I hope he would at least get a shot somewhere.

This might sound crazy but I would not completely count out Simms McElfresh. At the risk of sounding stereotypical, to me he fits the mold of a few NFL guys his size. He looks to have good speed, is tough and has good hands. No idea what his plans are but he might have a shot.
Completely forgot Middleton!! He is the #9 rated FS on that board.

Re: Current Pro Prospects
Blair and Middleton are the ones who are pretty sure to either get drafted or signed as UFAs. I'm guessing Harris might be viewed as sort of a diamond in the rough - good size and athleticism, still learning the position.
I wouldn't expect any of our senior WRs to get much of a look, but I'd love to be wrong of course. I could see where Malachi's play on ST this year might help him.

Re: Current Pro Prospects
I think just about all of our guys will at least get a shot at someone's camp, and that's all anyone really needs (see Lamm, Cadet, Presley, etc.). I think most of our Sr WR's will all benefit from ST play and each has a certain skill-set that could translate. Bobo ties with his family will not hurt either. McElfresh has gotten a little bit of buzz and he has the hands and great route-running. McGuire, with his size, could fit in as a backup at multiple positions (H-back, TE, etc). Malachi is just a solid all-around receiver that doesn't have that one dominating skill. In the right situation, with the right team, with the right offense ... who knows. I would think Blair and probably Middleton would be darn near a lock to get drafted some where. I saw earlier in the year where some scouts had Middleton in the 6-7th and Blair in the 3-5th range.

Chapman is small, even by college standards, but he sure is a good center. Also, don't underestimate Malachi. His measurables, especially his vertical, are going to draw NFL interest.

If I were a GM I would absolutely give McElfresh a look. To me he has the intangibles that are coveted in the NFL. He seems fearless, has gone from a walk-on to a top threat on this team, has speed, nice hands and will work his tail off. With all of the receivers we began the season with for some reason many of them can't get him off the field. He reminds of me the Cline kid we had years ago. I see another potential Julian Edleman.
