I excitedly opened the Cabin tonight to see posts about the game Saturday, see who might be going, if there might be a tailgate, what uniforms we might be wearing----crickets. My old, old feeble mind immediately wandered back to a time when we only had to beat winless VMI to be the Champs. Rings already ordered. And we lost the game to winless 0-10 VMI. I Hope the team is more focused than we are.
For the record i'm totally excited about the bowl game. But I'm driving to Mobile for the game THIS week. GO APPS BEAT USA!!!!!

I don't think anyone has forgotten about USA this week. W or L, nothing will change and we can't cause a W or L. The team can do that. I just think we are happy to be part of history with the 1st bowl game. I'm sure the team isn't overlooking USA. 1- They beat the crap out of us last year 2- We get beat, GSU had outright 2nd place in the SunBelt.

If there's ever a week where the team is less focused on their game than message board posters are, we've got a problem.

If we're being honest, it's not the highest-stakes game. Sounds like Satt is playing the revenge card for motivation, which is fine. I really want 10 wins and want to avoid finishing behind Southern. Only one team has ever won 10 games in its second FBS season. That would be a great list to join.

My wife and I are headed down for the weekend. We're taking some old friends from Mobile to the game.

We might make a double header of the weekend by going over to New Orleans for the Saints game.

You are so right, 78. They should have waited until after this week to announce. USA is going to lay it all out Saturday night to get eligible and we certainly could be caught looking past and looking bad. I hope these seniors don't allow that to happen, but they did play like they had the season won after the Ga So game, and almost lost 2 in a row, one to a terrible team. This game should be a major concern. Double digit wins, even in the Sun Belt, would be a great accomplishment, but it's no given from here on.

The school hasn't announced anything as of yet for this purpose. ESPN reported the bowls were set, but nothing official as of yet until the match up is set.

Work will keep me in NC this weekend. I'll be able to stream the game on one monitor while I work on the other ... still waiting on monitors 3 and 4 ...

If there is any hint of motivation problems Satt should pull out the game tape from last year where we were totally embarrassed on our home field. In fact, I hope he played it everyday this week. That was about as bad of a butt whipping as I remember seeing for a game that we were supposed to be competitive (short of a top 25 P5). The score wasn't even close to indicative of how bad we got beat. Remember we were down 40-7 at one point.

I hope this team wants some payback in the worst way Saturday. Do not take your foot off the throttle offensively and do not let them get a garbage score late. We have to jump on them like a pack of rabid dogs and not let go of their neck until the buzzer sounds.

Revenge, winning the last game, 10 win season, finishing ahead of Stink, last game of the regular season, Seniors, don't lose the game before a bowl game. How many other bullet points can be listed as incentive for this game?
