I agree, Gibbs is good but no love for Mr. Blair?

Obviously the writer knows little to nothing about many of the teams. Gibbs is a fine players but our defense is certainly not led by him. I guess the guy had to say something but I agree, Blair is the leader of this defense.

Writers who don't normally write about a specific team look for flashy stats like INTs and forced fumbles. That's all. There's no disrespect intended.

To be fair to the writer the guy never called Gibbs the leader of the D. Simply a standout, which statistically he is the biggest standout.

I've seen Bowling Green a couple of times this year, they are really good, I don't think GS has much of a shot in this one, this game might get ugly, really quick.

They'd better bring it more than they did last Saturday, that's for sure. Couldn't help but notice the opening lines in Vegas has us a 6 point favorite and Stink a ten point dog. I guess we should support the SBC, but with them,.....it's just difficult.

Teams with good, quick and disciplined defenses can easily shut down those one dimensional triple option teams. We proved it and so did teams that put it on Ga Tech. Unless you really have the horses you can be stopped. Then if those teams fall behind it is nearly impossible to come back once forced to become a pass offense. if BG jumps on them early, i agree, it could get ugly real quick. It is a shame we didn't get BG instead. I would rather see us play a quality opponent instead of looking for an easy win. Not saying that this will be an easy win by any means, just saying that is more satisfying to knock off a bigger boy.

That triple option can go either way in bowl games. Sometimes a defense is really well prepared for it after all that prep time, and they shut it down. Other times, they never get ahold of it, and it shows that they just don't see anything like it the rest of the year.

Throw in the mystery of what happened to Southern Saturday, and uncertainty with Breida's injury, and I don't think there's any result that would surprise me in the GoDaddy Bowl.

Do we know if the SB sweeps our set of bowls, where the SB finishes in the G5 conference rankings?

Yahoo ranked each of the bowls, excluding the NC game, and they ranked our bowl as #13. Pretty decent praise

Bleacher Report agrees with ESPN:
Camellia Bowl
Dec. 19; Montgomery, Alabama (5:30 p.m. ET)

Matchup: Ohio vs. Appalachian State

I'm continuously impressed by what coach Frank Solich has done with the Ohio program. The Bobcats had been to just two bowl games before Solich arrived. The Camellia Bowl will be Ohio's seventh postseason appearance since.

However, get to know Appalachian State quarterback Taylor Lamb, who is No. 1 in the Sun Belt and No. 6 nationally in passer efficiency. He doesn't throw it often, but he makes the most of his attempts.

Projected Winner: Appalachian State
