Thanks for the Memories

Unread post by Rekdiver » Mon Dec 21, 2015 10:07 pm

For those of you old enough the title is from a diddy Bob Hope and Bing Crosby used to do. But I digress...

To the Seniors:

You were part of history this past weekend and I was there to watch it. Man was I proud, I watched your struggles the past 4 years, your growth, how you dealt with change and criticisms. You worked hard, got stronger and smarter each year. You gave it your all for the coaches, your teammates, the fans and the program. You should, no you will look back with pride at what you have accomplished and begun. Know this. You have represented yourselves and ASU well. I'm proud to say you played for my school. I wish every one of you good fortune and the best for you and your families.

Thanks for the Memories.......

These seniors were recruited at FCS players. Looks like the FCS players played well above their talent. Some good enough to make it to the NFL. I believe our coaches did one hell of a job getting them ready for FBS. GREAT JOB SENIORS!!!! It's been a fun ride.

Agree 100%. We will look back on this group of seniors years from now with fondness because of what they accomplished, and what they sacrificed for the program. These are the guys who laid the foundation for what we will become. I hope, if they don't understand it now, that they will realize what their efforts meant for the growth of our program.

Thanks Rekdiver for putting this out there. It takes a special type of person to put forth that type of effort and sacrifice. These seniors are special in their own way and we wish them nothing but good fortune in their future.

These seniors will have not just continued the legacy, but elevated it to another level (literally as well as figuratively). FBS gets better recruits. Double-digit wins gets better recruits. Bowl wins get better recruits. Seniors on Mel Kiper's big board and playing on Sunday get better recruits. These guys have done most of that, and I expect to see at least 2-3 of these guys on Sundays next year.

I intended this to be an open letter to the Seniors, maybe I ought to send to Satt?
