Strength and Conditioning

Unread post by Rekdiver » Mon Dec 21, 2015 7:36 am

I have to give some love to the S& C coaches. In many games this year we were undersized including the Bowl, but from beginning to end of every game we showed great stamina. I've never seen more physical play on both sides of the ball than I saw this year.

Yeah big Kudos! Wonder what we can to do further help the S&C program again this year.... I smell a possible fund drive in 2016 again....

Just saying...

The fund account is still there, as is the S & C thread, and I've been telling people to give a little as they could. I know we talked about different ideas of fundraisers but unless there are some millionaires out there stadium enhancements and money for coaches is a bit out of our reach on here. But S & C is one area where even a little can go a long way and it is help across the board for our entire athletics programs. We saw what a good program can do. Yes we lost some guys but there were also several players that looked like they might be out for extended periods this season that were playing by the next game. It's all part of the program. And even small amounts of money can help as even the little things break and every piece that Mike can replace without having to tap into his budget is more money for other equipment.

Just something to keep in mind if any tax breaks are needed before the end of the year.

I looked at Moore and his sheer strength. I am totally amazed that someone his size is so strong. The other thing for the linemen, for me, was that to go along with their strength they had some tenacity about them. To watch the oline was like watching a UFC/Sumo match. I had a blast just watching them.

Firemoose.. if you'd work your info channels.. and see what Mike might need that wasn't budgeted for. From experience, folks seem open to give when they can see something tangible too shoot for.... Either way I'm as we get into "refund" season.
