After 500 pus views a response. I would say your numbers estimate is right in line. What works to make the math work? Now more than ever it is an issue with the full cost attendance as a new cost.

Re: Yosef Club membership numbers
We've been flirting with 3,000 for years. The data that follows is old (2011); however, the relative values and percentages would be about the same now.
ECU:
Total alumni 130.000
Total booster club members 8,700
Total alumni booster club members 7,800
% of alumni who are boosters 6%
NCSU:
Total alumni 170,000
Total booster club members 12,999
Total alumni booster club members 10,400
% of alumni who are boosters 6.1%
App:
Total alumni 100,007
Total booster club members 2,737
Total alumni booster club members 2,597
% of alumni who are boosters 2.6%
This is why Daphne keeps pushing for a larger base of smaller donations. An increase to 5% of our alumni making donations to Yosef would nearly double. If another 2,500 alumni each gave $100 we'd have another $250,000. Imagine what we could do if 10% of our alumni donated!
Each one, reach one ... BE YOSEF!

Re: Yosef Club membership numbers
Thanks, I was thinking about this the other day at the basketball game. It is a subject to think about. My friend will be attending App this fall and he is going to join himself. As for me I am not an alumni, and I increased my donation this fall. I enjoy the App family and hope others would see the value of just $100.00 as you suggested.
I think that we get a wonderful ROI on any investment that is made to assist in the cost of attendance for the student athletes at App State.

Re: Yosef Club membership numbers
I'm with you, WVAppsfan. I'm one of the non-alumni members who just loves Appalachian. We didn't increase our donation this year because we're simply at the top of what we can do (beyond it, actually). The best I can do now is to honor the pledge we've made for the next five years and encourage others to support our student athletes.

We increased our donation this year to support the incredibly gifted students who represent us on the courts, mats and playing fields. Years from now when I hear of one of these kids making a difference in the world. I'll be proud to have helped them achieve their dream.
