What is the rationale for only doing three stops this year? It seems like we should be" spreading our wings" instead of doing fewer. We need to be creating excitement and trying to sell more season tickets with our schedule. These events are a great way to do some face-to-face marketing for our athletic department.

It seems as if these spring tours get smaller and smaller every year.

IMO the tour only draws existing members (especially in the smaller cities we've visited), if the tour brought in more potential members we should do more of them. I am surprised ATL isn't on the list.

Not surprising that they are cutting back when you consider the cost of these locations, and as Saint said it doesn't do much to generate new members. I'd also imagine the time commitment of all the coaches is an issue.

We need strong regional chapters that hold their own events if we want to grow.

Very disappointed that ATL has been dropped, but as a Chapter I guess we should do more as a group.

I am attending my first Yosef Club caravan this April in Greensboro and I am looking forward to to it. I have attended similar events for other schools and they are a little cheesy but it is fun. I hope these do not go away, these allow fans and supporters access to the programs. Access that major benefactors enjoy, but all supporters deserve.

Speaking of strong alumni chapters and Greensboro. I thought there was discussion on here about doing more with this chapter. As previously mentioned, all they have is a "networking" breakfast downtown once a month at 8:30 am during the WEEK....who can make that. I agree that networking is beneficial, especially to recent grads and job-seeker. However, to build a stronger alumni base it would be beneficial to have events aimed to engage and "meet and greet". There is a large alumni population in Greensboro (especially young professionals) that need to be connected.

Think about it. Alum would be more likely to go to lets say a basketball game if they knew other alum who were going. Could also provide the opportunity to carpool.

That's the tough thing with the alumni chapters, our annual budget is $200. We have to make that stretch by seeking donations from businesses and such to host really good events, or charge those attending--which obviously can hurt attendance.
