Re: Schedule Released
All six home games on a Saturday. Only consecutive homes games are ODU and Miami. No Thanksgiving home game. Miami stays a Saturday. This should please most App fans.

Re: Schedule Released
Unfortunately, not out of the woods yet on Miami game. There is still one more ESPN game to be announced:
"Per the conference’s contractual agreement with ESPN, one more game involving a Sun Belt institution will be selected soon to be played on a Thursday or Friday and televised nationally on an ESPN network."

Re: Schedule Released
Probably going to be us. Other possibilities could San Diego State @ USA, Houston @ Texas State, UMass @ Troy, or Toledo @ Ark State.

Yes, the App State release makes it crystal clear in multiple places that the Miami date is not settled.AppDawg wrote:Unfortunately, not out of the woods yet on Miami game. There is still one more ESPN game to be announced:

Re: Schedule Released
GS plays 4 straight road games before coming home to play us on a Thursday--Western Michigan, Ark State, Ga Tech, New Mexico State.

Re: Schedule Released
I love this schedule. Even if the Miami game moves to a Friday. The 6 hour drive I make one way is tough back to back weeks. Not having any back to back home games is a blessing for me.

Re: Schedule Released
I actually can't make the ODU game due to a prior commitment. ODU will be the only game I don't make. I was taking that into consideration with my post. Selfish of mehapapp wrote:9/10 v. Re: Schedule Released
compared to last year, this is a great schedule, easy on the fans in terms of travel, and quality opponents. Hope they can keep Miami on a Sat schedule, if they do, I think Miami and App will bring more fans, maybe break 35 thousand, if a Friday night game, maybe 25 thousand.

Re: Schedule Released
First reactions:
Good news: Miami still on Saturday for now.
Bad news: Nothing really decided there.
Good news: No weeknight home games for now.
Bad news: Have to travel to GaSo on a short week.
Good news: They're on the road the previous Saturday, and we're at home.
Good news: No Thanksgiving weekend home game
Good news: ULL game is on a bigger platform (ESPN2 vs. ESPNU), and probably with little to no football competition (MLB playoffs will be on, though).
Good news: Only two home games after Oct. 22 (i.e., minimal cold weather).

Re: Schedule Released
Love the schedule. Better than last year. Week night games make it hard for many people to make the trip.
Which game is homecoming?October 1 or 22?

Re: Schedule Released
This is the BEST home schedule we've ever had, hands down. No holidays, no weekdays, and playing the U. Love it!
