I think we're higher, but it's nice being on a list just below Notre Dame.

That's actually some pretty major respect for us. The ones ahead of us include their archrivals, their two biggest division rivals, and Notre Dame.

We're ahead of four division games for them, including Duke and Georgia Tech.

I think four ranked higher deserve to be where they're at, all things considered. Miami plays them in consecutive fashion. VT on a Thursday. Typically hard to win in Blacksburg on a Thursday night. Notre Dame to end the 4 game stretch on the road. FSU and UNC are probably top in the ACC this year, not named Clemson. Conference games rightfully should be of more importance.

We made the list though!

This got me to thinking how I would make such a list for us. I'd say something like:

1. Miami
2. Georgia Southern
3a. Troy
3b. ULL
5. Tennessee

If we defeat the Hurricanes, it will suddenly have become the most important game on their schedule.
;)

Why do you rank Tennessee 5th? Is it because 2, 3A, and 3B are conference games?

Because I think it's more of a no-lose game for us. If we win, it goes to the top of the list. But I think beating them is a pretty big long shot, and I don't think a loss would be all that significant.

I agree about Troy and ULL being more important. Tennessee is more of a "nice to have".

We need to avoid a bad loss and keep it respectable win or lose. I trust the game plan is to give them hell for four quarters, and win the game given the opportunity.
