Congratulations are in order. He did a fine job I thought. Young family and a payday...but Atlanta Traffic is a mess...........And to afford anything you have to move to the boonies...So from Boone to the Boonies.........I crack my self up.

I hate for us to lose him, but he made the right move in the interest of finances and his family. He'll be compensated handsomely, enough to make up for the high cost of living in metro Atlanta. There are no boonies within nearly 50 miles of Atlanta. It's all urban.

That's now 5 of the 6 from Cobb's cabal/you must report to them before me/organizational chart that caused so many problems and bad blood in his last year here. Don't think #6 is a problem as that was just a promotion from Executive Assistant to Executive Officer and didn't create any issues. But there were a lot of bent feelings with 1-4 and they are all gone now. Not a surprise to me. Seemed like it was just a matter of time from the moment DG arrived.
Need to edit this. Flynn was not on that chart and since this thread was about him I should have said this elsewhere. I was just going off of the post by Appersrule. Sorry about that.

Great guy that Mike Flynn. Have known a lot of SID's over the years and he's top notch. Always accommodating and gosh knows patient with us media folks! Best of luck to him! Sorry to see him go.

I haven't seen this in print, anywhere. Just in case the word isn't around yet, Assoc. AD Kindsay Reeder left the athletic department effective May 31. Off to a new career in the health and wellness profession in Watauga, I believe.
There's a new sheriff in the Chancellor's Office Admin Bldg; and a new marshal in the Athletics Center.
I've pretty much been away from the board for 10 days or so. If this has been previously posted, I hereby fall on my sword.

He's also throwing the proverbial baby out with the bathwater. Flynn was there before Cobb wasn't he or was he?

Its Kindsay. And yes, maiden name is Greene.

I won't get into the personal details but a lot of these posts are far from reality. The athletic office isn't on fire and most people aren't jumping out or getting fired. The attrition and promotions are part of life, let's not make more of these movements than are there.
DJ and others made life decisions, others are looking to further their careers (for those not in college athletics the quickest way to do that is changing schools).
It is highly unusual that such a large percentage of athletic department employees to stay at the same school for more than five years.

Thanks for the clarification, AppDawg.

I am pretty sure it was Kindsay Greene, before it was Kindsay Reeder. I am assuming Jonathan Reeder and she are spouses, but heaven forbid I spread an honest misunderstanding, if applicable.

There is more pressure than you seem to think.

It's an environment that will always have pressure. My job has pressure, it helps me perform better, expectations are high.
My knowledge isn't second hand.

Mine either. There is built in pressure and then there's arbitrarily created pressure. We have both in this case. Sometimes, as you may well know, the ones inside aren't at liberty to tell what is really going on for fear of not getting good reps when they apply outside the organization.

That is correct. They are married.

Seems as if you missed the part where he is going to GA tech with what is likely are large $$ increase.
Makes complete and total sense for a leader of such a large organization to change things up.

Boone average real estate pricing is 210,00 as compared to 190,000 in Atlanta metro. So he will actually be living more comfortably.

Cheaper, if he wants to spend 2-4 hours a day in his car commuting. If he wants to live as close to GT as he most likely did to APP he will pay a pretty penny.
