As bad as it was...

Unread post by appbio91 » Sun Oct 21, 2012 3:34 pm

Our defense really got chewed up but I think they stopped them enough times to keep us in the game. Bad decisions and a lack of execution cost us this game. Leave this one off of the coaches. Bad decisions - stupid ass flip, trying to spike the ball instead of taking a sack. Lack of execution - a guy who has been money and made a miracle catch last week to win the game could not catch a cold yesterday (he had lots of company also), missed field goal which turned out to be no consequence but it would have changed the value of that last possession. Wofford was giving us the short pass and making sure they did not get beat long. They had that option in a 10 point game with less that two minutes to go. Plus we could not keep them off of our QB so going long really was not much of a possibility.

I agree with those who say the chicken are coming home to roost. We have been on a slow bleed for the last couple of years. It's not as bad as the melodrama on here claims but we are just not as good as we were a few years back. Lots of reasons that we all are aware of contribute to this. We will get this turned around quickly and we might even salvage this year. I am not optimistic about the GaSo game but we will get to see how this young group responds to having their back against the walll. Let's not write them off yet.

Excellent post. And, let's not forget that we are at West Carolina this week. This will be their Super Bowl. While we should win, there's always a possibility for another letdown. We still have a lot to play for and hopefully the team will respond.

If we lose to Western, App Nation may implode. I can't imagine the response on this message board
That being said, I think it is literally impossible to lose to WCU. They are a better team than in years past, but still... c'mon man.

I hope you're right, but sometimes unexplainable things happen. I hope the team is approaching WCU with more concern.

Does anyone remember the last time we lost in Cullowhee? Remember the whining afterwards? funny how sometimes we must crawl before we can walk~ Crawling out of there began a new era of ASU football. In my opnion thats where it all started
