Prayers for a Mountaineer needed

Unread post by scatman77 » Wed Jul 27, 2016 4:17 pm

I received a Facebook post on his page, from his wife. I've posted it below for all to read. Gilbert Rossi (sorry for omitting last name) is a 1977 alum and a member of that great 8-3 1975 team:

This is Gilbert's wife, Carol. I wanted to let all his friends know that he had to go into the hospital on his birthday and is still there. He was having atrial fibrilation and blood clots in legs and lungs. They have the atrial fibrilation controlled with medicene and on blood thinners for the clots. His platelets and hemoglobin are low and they are trying to determine why. At first they said he was in heart failure which scared us so badly, but echo done yesterday showed no damage to heart. Please pray for him.

We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

Thoughts and prayers for a fellow '77 alum...remember him fondly from the mid-70s teams
