Yosef Club/Season Ticket Packages
Just saw in my timehop this morning that I had received my Yosef Club/Season Ticket package on this day in 2013. Any idea when we'll be receiving them this year?

Daphne posted last week that the season ticket packages would be going out sometime next week.

Still in Asheville.MDaniels84 wrote:Daphne, where the heck are you ????????????????

I'll be headed up the mountain early Tuesday morning for my annual three day vacation in Boone. Ticket packing is scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (9th - 11th). Mailing will follow completion of packing.
Ticket packing this year is about a week later than it has been the last few years. My take is that Yosef / ticket office wanted to let the Miami ticket orders come in before packing to reduce the number of mailings.
I'll keep you posted as I know more. Hang on, App Nation. Football's coming!

Daphne, can you pick up your season ticket packet if in Boone this week? We will be in town beginning tomorrow. Our younger son starts on campus tomorrow as an incoming freshman!

Ah, every App parent's dream. To send your own off to God's Country. Well, maybe not the actual dropping off part. I'd imagine that kind of sucks.Cincy App wrote:Daphne, can you pick up your season ticket packet if in Boone this week? We will be in town beginning tomorrow. First, congratulations on your son's enrollment! Obviously, I think he has chosen wisely.Cincy App wrote:Daphne, can you pick up your season ticket packet if in Boone this week? We will be in town beginning tomorrow. Our younger son starts on campus tomorrow as an incoming freshman!
Ticket packing is a bit of a zoo making sure we get things as right as possible. With hundreds of packets for donors at all levels, it's not possible to pull any particular package from the fray. Packets should go out Friday or Monday.
Thanks to all of you for supporting Yosef and all of our student athletes.

Re: Yosef Club/Season Ticket Packages
Okay folks, here's what I know. We packed tickets today from 9 until 7. Those of you who will receive the AD gift will be pleased with what it is (I think). Also, those of you who get the over $5,000 gift will really like this year's edition. You'll receive it with your packet rather than later in the season. Tomorrow brings another day of packing fun.
Some things to note ...
Your Tennessee tickets will be mailed separately. Those have not been allocated yet and until they are cannot be distributed.
If you ordered Miami tickets or other single game home tickets, those will be in your packet.
Of course, your season tickets and parking passes will also be in your packet. The parking passes and season tickets are pretty sweet looking in my opinion.
Remember, too, that the ticket packers are human. There will be be mistakes. If one of those mistakes is on your account, please be gracious enough to call Yosef to correct benefit issues or the ticket office to correct ticket issues. Thanks to all of you for being Yosef.

FYI. The ticket packets are being shipped via UPS. You will only get your packet in the actual mail if you use. a PO box instead of a physical address.

Re: Yosef Club/Season Ticket Packages
While I have nothing to back this up, I fully expect that in the years to come the tickets will be packed by an outside service rather than by inside personnel and volunteers. I would also expect the parking will eventually be assigned strictly on current year donation and points rather than on historical parking space assignment and current year giving. This could prevent the current need for using large maps, paper, and pencil to figure out where folks will park. If the parking assignment is also assigned to an outside service the human element of assigning spaces will the eliminated.Rekdiver wrote:

Again, this is just my take on where things are headed and has no basis in actual information received from the athletic department.

Re: Yosef Club/Season Ticket Packages
I would hate this. I know in our group on the "Liberry" deck, majority give more than what's required for the lot. However we love the group of people and location so we all request it. Yosef club would lose money from our group if they did this.DaphneUrquhart wrote:While I have nothing to back this up, I fully expect that in the years to come the tickets will be packed by an outside service rather than by inside personnel and volunteers. Re: Yosef Club/Season Ticket Packages
Moving people's spaces each year will likely upset the apple cart.
I have two close friends and we all give the same amount each year (and park one lot below our donation level as a preference), but points do vary. It would be a shame that we'd have to split our three spots up.

Re: Yosef Club/Season Ticket Packages
Agreed with everyone else on the parking situation. We have a group of people that have parked in the same spot for years even though people give at different levels. Some choose to park in a lot below where they could just to stay with friends. Part of what makes game day special is spending time with your long time friends at the tailgate for those 6 games each year. Moving people on a yearly basis based on points would be a HUGE mistake. As long as people meet the minimum requirements to be in a specific lot they should not move spaces. If you move lots then yes you should start at the bottom of the pecking order.

Re: Yosef Club/Season Ticket Packages
Whoa ... whoa ... whoa.
Please re-read my post. There has been nothing said by the athletic department in my hearing about any of this. It's just something I can see coming when (if?) we continue to grow.
Now... back to work.
