Parking Lot Entrance Time

I am wondering what time will I be able to enter the Stadium Lot for the Miami game. I would love to roll in no later than 7:30 a.m. to begin tailgate set-up.

http://policy.appstate.edu/Tailgating4.2.6 Tailgating sites will not open on weekends prior to 9:00 A.M. and on weekdays before 5:00 P.M. unless otherwise announced.
Was this policy partially desired by the town of Boone? Given the magnitude of this Miami game, Doug should push hard to open the lots earlier. 3 hours is just not long enough. Not if you want the stadium packed at kickoff. Keep in mind everyone might have to depart the tailgate early because of the expected wait and lines to enter the stadium. I feel 7 a.m. is a reasonable time to help spread out the incoming traffic. Die hards will be waiting to get in the lots, but some will come the hours after 7.ASUGrad2014 wrote:Found this in the policy:

We are already talking about cooking breakfast before the Miami game and lunch after!
It's a bit ridiculous. IMO these are the same folks that have prevented App and Boone from reaching its full potential. Gates should be opened at 7AM.T-Dog wrote:The fact that we're exactly one month from the game and there's still debate about it among the power brokers shows how some folks in the town of Boone are completely tone deaf.
There were a few playoff games over the years one I remember were the leathernecks when it snowed a bit during he game and we did cook breakfast for tailgateEastHallApp wrote:When was the last time we hosted a noon kickoff? Yea man. Screw Boone. For real, no sarcasm behind this thought.Yosef10 wrote:It's a bit ridiculous. IMO these are the same folks that have prevented App and Boone from reaching its full potential. Are you also suggesting we bring a little cash? hahabigCasu wrote:Security and parking officers generally attend the lots starting at 7am on gamedays, even for a 3:30 kickoff. Generally if you keep to yourself, and don't draw any attention, they won't bother you.
That ranks as one of my favorite games of all time - snow, yucky roads (particularly in Avery County), BOD playing halftime from the stands so grounds crew could clear the field. I had a huge hot chocolate station set up as part of our tailgate that day. It was quite the hit. The poor leathernecks thought they were coming to warmer climes ... oops.mountaineerman wrote:There were a few playoff games over the years one I remember were the leathernecks when it snowed a bit during he game and we did cook breakfast for tailgateEastHallApp wrote:When was the last time we hosted a noon kickoff? I've never paid them off, but a hot thermos of coffee and a biscuit would likely suffice./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote:Are you also suggesting we bring a little cash? hahabigCasu wrote:Security and parking officers generally attend the lots starting at 7am on gamedays, even for a 3:30 kickoff. I could be wrong, didn't we have a few noon kicks during the regular season of 2010?EastHallApp wrote:When was the last time we hosted a noon kickoff? I guess my point being that no noon game has ever had anywhere near the crowd we're going to have for this one, so it would be wise to allot extra time for the crowd to arrive.T-Dog wrote:Had a lot of Noon kickoffs in the FCS playoffs. Furman 2005, JMU and EWU 2007, Richmond 2008, SCSU 2009, WIU and Villanova 2010 are the ones I remember.
