Scary big attendance numbers for Miami

It might not seem like big numbers to UT fans or Miami fans of years gone by but considering that we seat roughly 24k and the record is roughly 32k, sounds like that will be shattered big time! So, I've had a few folks at app give out a few numbers as to what to expect crowd-wise for the Miami game. Just wondering if anyone else had heard any numbers floating around and what some of you think the attendance will be???
Thoughts?

I'm going to go what would have been my ZIP code when I was born ... if there had been ZIP codes then ... 35203. Now where are we gonna park 'em all?

Sounds like a good day to tailgate early, pack up early and get in the seats early. I cant imagine what 35k+ will look like in KBS. They need to do another 360 picture for this game.

Maybe they will build a bigger end zone bleacher, lol

Just worried that fire marshall cuts it off before 35k.

I've been in the stadium for every top 10 game attendance-wise and I can't imagine getting more than 1,000 or so more than we've had on our best days. It's come to a point in past where general admission ticket holders were leaving because they couldn't even stand somewhere and watch the game. The hill, the student section, and the walkways were just sardine canned.
I'm thinking 33k and change is all we can handle, even if we ban the fire marshal.

The weather will be a large factor. If it's a nice day then we shatter the attendance record. If it's nasty, it could be a very disappointing crowd.

As long as it is not like it was for Wyoming, it will still be a rocking crowd. That was a monsoon.

If weather plays any factor in crowd size for this game I will be VERY disappointed in the fan base. Not an excuse when we were lucky enough to get this game. If we can't draw for this game regardless of weather then we just can't draw well anymore.

How many temporary bleachers can be put into the field house end zone? How many seats does that add? Is it possible to add seats on the top of the hill behind the sidewalk on the other end? I agree with "where you gonna put them?". I was at a few big attendance games. One I recall in particular was the Coastal game many seasons back. Announces was over 30k and I just remember looking around and seeing folks in every nook and cranny. Is it humanly possible to add 5,000?

I agree. If in fact the figures are actually accurate for those past games we will not see 35,000. There psychically just will not be room. Again if the record was an accurate number.

Not to beat it to death but those games with announces over 30k just didn't seem possible. Our seating is what, about 23k? How can 8k added buts get in there? Sounds awesome but unlikely

Is that before or after counting the folks in deer stands up above the Block A on the hill? I was thinking a deer stand seat for two could bring a nice price, and it wouldn't crowd the stadium itself. Now the concession and restroom facilities in the tree stand section might be a little problematic ...

It's my understanding that the 24.5k seat number doesn't include the hill. It also quantifies fewer people in the student section bench seating than what we actually have there. Students stand on their seats, giving us an extra uncounted row through that entire front section, and they squeeze in there like sardines. That's how we see 30k. I think the records crowd reports are accurate.
I just remember seeing the record crowds and I don't think we can fit many more than that. It was like Disney on a March Saturday. The entire causway was full of people standing, not just relocating, but watching the game from where they stood. Maybe we can have some chicken fights on the hill.

When a I hear "Scary Big" I think of the hill being so packed that PBR's block A may be in Jeopardy...
Would hate to see his hardwork destroyed, but it sure would be a beutiful sight all those folks in KBS!

My friend works for the fire department. They calculated the max at 38k but then realized that includes the field. Taking that area out brought it down to around 33k. They are expecting they'll have to turn students away so they're talking of putting a projector up on duck pond field and allowing tailgating to appease the students that are turned away.
