Just saw the promo pic for this week's game. It's the first side view of the white helmets and there isn't anything on the helmet...are they really going to be blank?? Please tell me they're holding out for another couple of days before announcing the real image. Please!

Wha?? I just assumed the black A would be on there, same as our normal helmet. I can deal with the white out but we can't go logo-less!

I would assume it's a tease... No way it's blank. But given the blank promo it's probably not the standard black A as well.

As an ex-football player in high school, whenever we got new uniforms and helmets, we would wear the new helmets during the week in practice to break them in and they don't put the sticker logo on until the day before the game to keep the stickers fresh and clean. That is just what my school did but I am pretty sure that is standard.

Also, in the video's on the lead up to the season, they put a video of the stickers being applied to the helmets, I bet they just haven't applied the stickers since they are wearing them in practice as evidenced by some pictures

I've got to believe there will be stickers too, but the image I'm talking about is the game announcement, not a pic from practice.

DG has done everything 1st Class, I can't imagine they're going to do this one half way...

Which is a little disappointing to me, as the one silver lining of the whiteout for me is that I think the white helmet/black A looks sharp. But we'll see what they come up with.

I'm thinking there will be a black outline on the helmets of the block A, but the middle stays white with "Mountaineers" in black

Return of the white block A for one week? Fans called for it...maybe?

It will have a sticker no doubt. I think it'll be the black block A, victory Yosef (all black), or the state of NC (all black).

I'm leaning toward the state.

The state would look awesome. I think it would look real cool if they had the "Today I Give My ALL for Appalachian State" in yellow inside a black NC state. Might not look as good on a smaller scale, but sounds good on paper.

The black state with the white A would look awesome!
