LETS GO..........MOUNTAINEERS!
Would love to add an additional interactive fan cheer to supplement our APP-STATE. It is so fantastic when all the fans yell! Still get chills sometimes!
I'm thinking: 2 could be even better!
How about:
LETS GO (App side)
MOUNTAIN-EERS! (State side).
Think us Cabineers can pull it off and get the crowd with us?

Believe WVU already uses that. Not that we couldn't, but I think it will be met with opposition because someone else already does it.

Re: LETS GO..........MOUNTAINEERS!
Would that phrase be easily understood as it is being shouted? We brought up some friends for the ODU game and they kept asking what we were yelling back and forth and that's just one word/one syllable each...granted one went to NC State and the other UNC-W but still

My favorite, and one we tried with zero success bc of Marshall in the late 80s (and obviously Penn State) was the simple
WE ARE.....
APP STATE!!!
It really rolls of the tongue much easier than that of the thundering terds and we are so far away from Penn State who cares. My brother and I still do that when we watch App games together down here in Florida.

I am ok with AAAAAPPPPPPPP SSSSSTTTTTTTAAAAATTTTTEEEEE. I remember how loud it was at the championship game against Delaware. Gave me chills.
What I would like to incorporate would be something for kick offs. Like UGA with the Go Dawgs...Sic Em. I'm sure there are other examples.
Maybe GOOOOOOOO APPPPPPPPPP
Now that is something I would be willing to start. Anyone with me?

Re: LETS GO..........MOUNTAINEERS!
We could always do A-S-U. A (east side), S (north and south end zone), U (west side). Could sound good.......
I think ive mentioned this before, but i do think there could be some more ways to increase volume and have more crowd interaction.
- Simply have a decibel meter play on the big board.....
- Have contest for students to come up with cheers and have a warm up where you test them out at fan fest.....kind of like student section "practice" and allow tailgating.
But seriously, the decibel thing should be easy. I can download an app now and plug it in to a screen. Ive emailed some people in marketing before about it and have not seen anything yet. Perhaps someone else should email and get this up for Saturday. I think it would really make a difference as it adds a sense of gamification with yourself....just my opinion. You would constantly be trying to outdo the last time. And add some incentives (e.g. if the fans get above X decibels, then you get a coupon for free biscuit).

Re: LETS GO..........MOUNTAINEERS!
If we want something unique to college football but not unique to sports we could try this...
I think it's called "Call & Repeat". One side says "Seattle...." other side "Sounders....."
We could try it with "Appalachian...." other side "Mountaineers...."
However, it would have to be VERY coordinated and would take some getting used to the pace before it sound anything like that. But I've always wanted to get that one popular because it sounds AMAZING on TV!
