**FRIDAY** APP STATE / U MIAMI WX TRENDS

Man alive, I don't know about you all, but I'm excited for this game and can't wait to get back home to THE ROCK tomorrow!
A few adjustments to the forecast, much of these are for the early part of the day. Patchy dense fog (421 coming up the mountain and past the the BRPKW) and some light rain / drizzle may be possible through 9 or 10 AM'ish. After that, we should see improving skies and dry for the game. Later in the day, pop up shower returns to the forecast.
Be safe on the roads!
6 AM: (for the early tailgaters... setting up) Cloudy, patchy fog, light rain / drizzle possible - Upper 50s
8 AM: Cloudy, patchy fog, chance for some light rain & drizzle possible - Low 60s
10 AM: Cloudy to mostly cloudy, diminishing chance for patchy light rain, shower - Mid 60s
KICKOFF: Becoming partly sunny - Upper 60s
HALFTIME: Partly sunny to partly cloudy - Lower 70s
END OF GAME: Partly sunny to partly cloudy, late PM chance for a shower - Lower 70s.
GO MOUNTAINEERS!

*****THURSDAY UPDATE******
I'll tell ya, trends look pretty darn good. I can't fully remove the concept of a passing sprinkle, doubtful we'll see it. I'd give Saturday the badge of "APPSTANDING" weather expected. After low clouds and some morning fog, we should see partly sunny to partly cloudy skies around game time. Watch the morning fog potential on your way up the mountain.
No major change to the temp trends for the day. I can't think of any weather reason not to be there! I'll be there, so I'm expecting that APPNation pulls out all of the stops and we PACK THE ROCK for the entire game! Let's take it to the Hurricanes... !
I can't freaking wait!
GO MOUNTAINEERS!

PM Update...
Hmmm afternoon data much improved for Saturday... After morning clouds, patchy fog, partly sunny may rule, with rain chances
holding off until Saturday night into Sunday. Will see if this is indeed a positive and emerging trend, with the next model updates.

*Wednesday AM* Updated...
No major changes to the overall forecast thinking. Trop issue Julia looks to have minimal impact to our Saturday forecast. Will continue to monitor. While the chance for rain remains in the forecast, for Saturday, I still don't see this as a washout. So, no good reason not to PACK THE ROCK and give Miami some Appalachian Hell!

--------------
Cooler temps, increased clouds, and a chance for some scattered showers will be in the mix for this Saturday's big matchup against the Hurricanes of Miami. No coastal evacuations needed for this one. As a matter of fact, I'm encouraging folks to head into the storm and support our Mountaineers! Get there early as this noon kick will have Boone jammed!
Wedges are fickle beasts for the High Country and it makes for difficulty in nailing down a solid precipitation forecast as of this Tuesday AM post. Keep checking back in, as this will be an evolving forecast through the week. Bottom line, doubtful it's a washout, but bring the rain gear just incase a few showers show up on our side of the mountain.
6 AM: (for the early tailgaters... setting up) Cloudy, patchy fog, drizzle, shower possible - Upper 50s
8 AM: Cloudy, patchy fog, chance for some drizzle, shower possible - Low 60s
10 AM: Cloudy to mostly cloudy, continued chance for patchy light rain, shower - Mid 60s
KICKOFF: Mostly cloudy to partly sunny, continued chance for a shower - Upper 60s
HALFTIME: Mostly cloudy to partly sunny, chance for a passing shower remains - Lower 70s
END OF GAME: Mostly cloudy to partly sunny, chance for a shower - Lower 70s.
Whelp, there you have it. This will be changing as data gets a better handle on things through the week. The forecast can really be locked down Thursday evening as the tighter grid modeling gets a solid swing at Saturday.
Hope to see you there!
