The #1 and #2 seeds are both gone. Of the 13 SEC teams in the tourney, seven are out and more could follow today.

UALR 19-32 but one game away from a Super. There’s enough talent in baseball for mid majors to make a run.

March madness in June.
Checked Murray State..
Played 2 Power schools. Lost to Ole Miss in 10 innings and best Kentucky...both in the tournament. Hopefully both can win today

They’re everywhere. Mid majors had great showings.

UTSA
Wright State
UALR
Murray State
Columbia
N’Eastern
Utah Valley
Someone beat Oregon.
NDSU (this one is hilarious)
Not including Coastal/ECU/USM, they’re powerhouses.

I believe baseball is a sport where talent is dispersed at every level and size of player doesn’t necessarily matter to an extent like football/basketball. It does seem like it will be a slew of P5s though at the super regionals. Lack of pitching probably ending smaller schools hopes.
One of the best players in the country is 5’10 160lbs soaking wet down at Clemson. We still need some arms though in a tough conference!

While I agree that we need more arms, we were way to inconsistent in approach. There were plenty of examples of games lost due to pitching, but we also had some good performances on the bump that got little to no offensive production.

Situational hitting and small ball/manufacturing runs has to improve as well. We’ve seen teams get bounced because they’re all trying to hit it out of the park and not just score the guys on 2nd and 3rd.

Small ball is becoming a lost art. Drives me insane. Can’t stand when a team can’t lay down a bunt to save their lives.

Agree. Is it even taught anymore in the developmental stages? Hard to teach a guy at the college level if there is no instructional foundation in place prior to getting to college.

Florida’s coach has had “run in’s” with numerous teams and fans. When you have an issue with that many people, maybe you’re the issue coach! Not a fan of the Florida coach.

On another note, Pollard stepped up for his guys this weekend. Especially the one that got ejected for a bullcrap NCAA rule of not using props out of the dugout. Go Pollard! Hope Duke wins it.
