Big game Tuesday at home v Wake!
Hoping it warms up a little so we can have a good crowd.
Wait and see. They will some how win that one and suck us back in.
I dare them to suck us back in!!
That's the best thing about baseball though. You get 55 games +- and usually play again "tomorrow".
I'm still optimistic but we need some of these arms to return fast if we want to do any damage....Welch, Lewis and if any others are hiding, it would be a good time to return.
We owe Wake an L in a major way though! Is Little getting the nod?

It is early, but the SBC has 3 teams ranked in the top 25. The usual suspects… Troy, USM, Coastal. That is very impressive and good for the conference as it gives us more chances to improve our RPI and steal some quad1/2 wins to boost a semi lackluster resume.

Beach Chickens have some good OOC games coming up. Be interesting to see how those games play out. They have a good OOC overall.
Hopefully, we can get some of these types games in Hickory in future years
UNC-A played UNCW in Wilmington. For that travel, it would need to be a weekend series...but would like to see that or ECU. Both traditionally good teams. I

I’ve seen high school staffs better. How does this happen? Do guys forget how to throw strikes?
Too much focus on velocity and spin rate, the art of actual pitching has been lost.

100%. None of the above matters if you can’t locate and change speeds.

Early, but Warren Nolan is predicting us to go 10-20 in the SBC, that would be a rough season.

I can't disagree with what anyone is saying. " Hitting is about timing. Pitching is about disrupting that timing " by Warren Spahn

This seems about right from what I have seen so far. Definitely missing 33.

I like Cal Clark on the bump today. Could be a good role for him.
Hope the crowd is good!

Already looking like we need to score 25 with the 2 on and 1 out top of the 1st.

Not so fast my friend!
Cal has some stuff and command. Don’t forget he was a one time Clemson commit and a perfect game guy before a coaching change and an injury. He could be a good one for us!

Correa might not see a fastball the rest of the year.

Was a nice surprise to not see anything given up in the top of the 1st, had to walk out to get a kid off the bus and didn't get to watch. Came back in to see Wake's defense walking off the field though.

Wild that he hasn’t thrown all year but touches 97. I heard he was a 3rd round MLB pick, not sure if that’s true. We’ve got our work cut out for us but they’ll throw a lot of arms, as will we.

Turning down $1.3M is quite a choice at age 18.
