Lose 4-5, costly error at the bottom of the 5th was the killer. Had bases loaded in the 9th, but, no cigar. If we had a horseshoe team we would be outstanding. "Almost only counts in horseshoes"

Very disheartening. Another loss to a mediocre SOCON team.

I watched last night. Based upon what I saw last year and so far this year, we are definitely improving. That said, we are still going to have to be patient. It's easy to get caught up in the moment of a win over a good team and think we have turned the corner, but this year the team will learn that they can't let up. We will have to kick, scratch and fight to have a winning record. Coach will see where we have holes and work to fill them going forward. I do like what I am seeing so far. We are competitive.

In baseball, as in many sports (but not quite as much), the kicking fighting and scratching occurs in the offseason work that is put in. Generally, once the season starts, it is what it is. How players improve this year and during their summer leagues will go a long way to determining if a competitive team can take shape for 2018.
