Lost game one 6-8. Rallied from a 0-5 deficit in the 7th but just couldn't finish it out. Game two coming up.

No horse shoes in game 2. Not sure if hand grenade even applies. I am thinking ICBM.

Bottom of 7th down 2-23, you're correct hand grenades don't apply. The Mother of All Bombs is more like it!

Well one pitcher did have an ERA of 22 and some change before he was pulled. I think he had 10 runs and 1 out.

This is up there in the realm of throwing up an air ball that is not even close to the rim on a free throw.

Tomorrow could be interesting to see how one bounces back from this.

Yeah, 10 runs and 2 outs. It's a tough outing for any pitcher, but every pitcher has had one. Not surprised the coaches left him out there. It happens when a game is out of reach and the team needs to conserve arms.

Top of the 7th score 4 - 8, game starting to fade fast. Better effort today (thus far), however, when you don't have the talent to compete there is only so much you can do. Looking at the rest of the schedule I'd be surprised if we win another game. Sure will suck being dead last once again. Anyway, hope I'm wrong.

South Alabama is much better. Their bullpen imploding last year to give us the series was a bit of a fluke. They hit every pitcher we had with power. Even their foul balls were flying all over.

Good news is that Little Rock swept Georgia State, so we're still in 10th via tiebreaker and in the tournament.

Bad thing is that in the final week, unless we pull a miracle sweep from our closet, we need some help from Georgia Southern to beat G-State.

I love the fight in this team. I love the camaraderie of this team and I think we've found a fantastic coach who is able to build and lead a great program. With that said, the sheer talent on this team is lacking. The fact they've been able to win as many games as they have is a testament to my comments to start the post. As the staff brings in additional talent I expect us to make a significant leap in standings next year and the year after. Momentum is on our side with this team. Let's enjoy the ride!
