I saw him play on Friday. Now I have a reason to go to a few more games.

Any word on the future of The Diamond?

It’s Richmond. Council will jerk around ownership until the Squirrells decide to leave town.

I remember going to Richmond Vees games at old Parker Field. When they built The Diamond it was palatial by comparison. Then the city drug it's feet on a new park and the Braves left town.

My first baseball game was at Parker Field. It smelled like...baseball. I’m glad I got to experience it.

It’s a shame that Richmond treats good tenants like the Squirrels like they do and turns around and lets the Redskins treat them like crap with the training camp complex. I can say only so much, I guess, as I never have lived in the city.
