6pm first pitch vs 9-2 Miami in Coral Gables. Mountaineers have won 2 of their last 3 including a 24-3 win vs Gardner Webb on 3/2. Miami has beat up on Rutgers and UMBC but lost 2 of 3 vs #4 Florida.

App had bases juiced T-2nd, fly ball to shallow right ends and the Mountaineers come up empty.

Tough night, but we hung around and kept the game within reach. Still encouraging. Our pitchers battled.

We play a couple SoCon teams this weekend, should be a fair gauge as to where we stand. Then Michigan State, would be nice to beat one of the "bigger universities", at least I think so.

All three games this weekend should be winnable. WCU has the best record (6-5) but not against stellar competition. That should be a good test. Furman and Michigan State each only have a couple of wins I think.

Miami is a much better team than Michigan State but I'll take a win over a Big 10 team any day of the week!
