Nice! I saw us at #14 yesterday, so this seems to be a product of NC State beating UNCC 5-0.

That's freakin' awesome. I know the mathematics of computer rankings early on aren't accurate, but still, it's freakin' awesome.

Our guys should have been in the polls, had NcSt not shat their pants. They've got a number of winless programs ranked, at 3 and 4 losses, and none of the losses were at the hands of a top 10 team.
It is great exposure to be at the top of the RPI!

Pollard is probably having second thoughts about taking that Duke job. With an ACC gig to pad his resume he may be qualified to return to App one day.

Just win, baby!
We've got two very winnable weekend series coming up and a couple of tough mid-week road trips against solid ETSU and High Point teams. Go 6-2 or better in that stretch and we'll get some love in the polls. Unlike last season, the Appalachian baseball program has some equity with the national media after a strong showing in the NCAA Regional. The victory over NC State only strengthened it.

He probably does have second thoughts, up until the day of the month when he gets paid.TheMoody1 wrote:Pollard is probably having second thoughts about taking that Duke job. With an ACC gig to pad his resume he may be qualified to return to App one day.

If he can build a program at App, he can do it at Duke. Duke has had quite a bit of success at hiring great coaches.

And I think his kids go to Duke free or at a reduced rate.MountainMan wrote:He probably does have second thoughts, up until the day of the month when he gets paid.TheMoody1 wrote:Pollard is probably having second thoughts about taking that Duke job. I hate Trinity College, but I would let my kids go there too--especially for free.bcoach wrote:I wouldDaphneUrquhart wrote:Even for free I wouldn't let my kids go to Duke!bcoach wrote:freeYesAppCan wrote:And I think his kids go to Duke free or at a reduced rate.MountainMan wrote:

We dropped 5 spots in one day. At this rate will be the worst baseball team in DI by this time in April. We need to right this ship pronto.hapapp wrote:According to warrennolen.com.
I am glad you got a screen cap of this, as I waited one day to late I guess.

SoCon as a conf is number 2 behind the ACC. Be great if that could hold. Heck, I'll even pull for WCU and GaSo in that case.hapapp wrote:According to warrennolen.com.

I may be mistaken, but I believe Duke will cover the tuition to any school where the children of their faculty are accepted.bcoach wrote:freeYesAppCan wrote:And I think his kids go to Duke free or at a reduced rate.MountainMan wrote:He probably does have second thoughts, up until the day of the month when he gets paid.TheMoody1 wrote:Pollard is probably having second thoughts about taking that Duke job.
