Oddly enough, baseball is not listed in their online ticket office. Tickets shouldn't set you back more than $5 or so and you'll have no problem getting them at the gate. If you want to call ahead and reserve them, you can reach their ticket office at 1-800-768-CATS.

For those who want to watch online, it will stream here: http://www.davidsonwildcats.com/showcase/

I hate that our boys are playing right in my back yard and I have to miss it! Unfortunately, I am out of town this weekend but I'll be watching. Hopefully, we will have a nice showing from the Charlotte crowd and turn this into a home game for the Apps.

I stopped by there last weekend with my son for a little while. They had a doubleheader between Layfayette and Gerogetown. We walked right in. It was fenced but there was no ticket booth that I noticed. Even took my dog. There were no more than 100-150 people there on a beautiful day and all they have is two small bleachers behind home plate. My dog is a lab puppy and I felt like everyone in the place came up to say hello to her, even the Coach's wife and the Georgetown players. Really small environment. So unless they just want to take advantage of us I don't expect a ticket will be needed.

Davidson baseball games are free. I asked a friend that work at the college. I'll be going and I am trying to recruit some people to go and cheer on the Black and Gold!

1-0 Apps after an RBI single by William Head in the 3rd scores Hector Crespo. Jamie Nunn struggled early, but has yet to concede a run. Got out of a bases loaded jam in the 1st, but seems to have settled down nicely.

I'm watching using the link asumike83 provided. While attending a Davidson baseball game may be free, watching online is unfortunately not. I paid the $5.95 for a single game purchase. Good video quality but the cameraman and commentating crew leave much to be desired.

Davidson threatens in the 4th with a single and a walk, but a sharp hit ball with 2 out is snagged by Alex Leach at 1st and he beats the man to the bag. Still 1-0 App after 4 with the bottom of the lineup coming up for ASU in the 5th.

William Head strikes again. Representing my hometown well. RBI single scores Dobson from 3rd. Head then steals 2nd for his 2nd SB of the day. 2-0 App.

RBI Double from Alex Leach to make it 3-0. The Head-Leach combo has worked well in the 2 and 3 holes. Leach leads the conference in slugging and Head leads the team in batting average. 3-0 going to the bottom of the 5th.

Davidson gets one back in the 5th as a misjudged ball in right field by Preston Troutman leads to an RBI triple, but Nunn strikes out the next 2 men to get out of it with only 1 run given up. 3-1 Apps after 5. Davidson changing pitchers.

In other SoCon action, Furman beats preseason favorite Elon 10-4 in 12 innings. Always good news when a favorite drops a game.

Apps leave the bases loaded in the 6th after loading them with only 1 out. Still 3-1 good guys.

That hurt a little. I was hoping for at least a run or two there.

Furman is off to a great start and have the best RPI (18) in the conference to date.

1-2-3 6th for Nunn. Decision time for Coach Jones. Stay with Nunn for the 7th, or go with Tyler Moore or Taylor Thurber, who have been very solid in relief on the early season.
